if lucas wolfe won a woo race you can be darn sure the PA crowd would be calling it a PA win. if cody darrah comes back and wins one you can bet the same would happen. they are both traveling outlaw drivers now. the PA people are claiming anyone they can as posse now-a days, even pittman. they will be claiming tyler as soon as he runs off a few wins. the guys we call cali are born and cut their teeth in cali and made their name in cali. tyler will always be cali no matter if cali wants to claim him or not. just like rahmer would still be posse if he up and brought his whole family out to live with BK. lol. those guys out there racing all over the country are still our local guys, no matter where they hang their hat each night. if meyers wins the woo title, you can be damn sure he will bring the trophy back here. i would expect that the fans from anywhere understand and would say the same thing. their guys are their guys. no matter where they are racing. half the PA names that tarah rattled off, although great racers, are getting to the point where their best years are behind them, but i still bet they bring them up for decades after they retire. now she or anyone else that wants to can attack or try to minimise the racing in cali, but they are going to get an ear full for doing it. i would expect that from any fan who loves their guys. so step off.

WRONG. I'll try to explain it once again. When comparing local racing scenes, we're talking about the drivers that race at a certain track or area weekly, not last year, not 10 years ago but currently. Pittman and Walker are currently PA regulars. Wolfe and Darrah are not. Sure we'd be proud of them if they won a race while travelling with the WOO but it would have no effect on the local weekly racing scene. Actually both have beat the WOO at the Grove while PA regulars.

henry chinaski kind of quieted things down a little. Nice to know facts like that.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

|
look heres the sad truth (well ok in his case not so sad)about Tyler moving to race in pa, once u become a sprint car driver in pa your Carrier ends in pa. i mean common how-many pa sprint car drivers have gone on to be household names outside of sprint cars? u know compared to a place like say Cali---lol---i just hope Tyler finds himself a nice little comfy backwoods porch to kick back on and enjoys a nice long toke off his pipe every once in a while and slowly works his way into retirement

ok, just my 2 cents
so i grew up in california and went to sprint car racing my whole life there. ran 360's for 3 years at all the tracks in northern california. moved back to PA for work and been going to the grove and lincoln for almost a year now so i feel i can kinda make an unbiased oppinion plus i love sprint car racing no matter what so i'll drive 5 hours just to catch the feature of a regular points race (great story, but i'll tell a different time).
so the major thing i noticed about the difference is that its 2 different styles of racing. in california you have smaller hooked up tracks, so inorder for the guys that qualify good to have a fair shot at winning they only have to come from the first 5 rows, depending on if they draw a 10 pill in the inversion. in Pa, you have a pill draw the first 2 races, then line up off of points average (or money won, not really sure, dont really care, get the same result) the guy with the most whatever starts in the back, unless he doesn't get out of his heat. but they can do that back here, because the tracks are so wide and usually racey the fast guys are upfront anyway.
each have there pro's and con's. i love watching back here in Pa because you get to watch rahmer and hodnett push there cars to not only by the slow cars, but all the fast cars. i loved racing in Ca becasue if i qualified good and got out of my heat i knew i was starting up front in the feature. it seems like Ca drivers are there more for the fun of it hanging out after the races with the fans in the pits, where in Pa, everyone packs it up and takes off to get ready for the next night because its a business back here and they are racing for a living.
as for the real subject of tyler walker, i'm not the biggest fan, but everything thats happened to him minus a heat race wreck that junked a car at lincoln hasnt been his fault, just stuff breaking. but the great thing about that is back here, if you aren't finishing you're starting up front in the feature next week. so tyler will run good for a while, then have to start in the back and then we'll see how he does. just the way montieth and hodnett get through the pack at williams grove, its gonna be tough.

11 different winners in 12 races so far in central PA. The only repeat winner- Rick Lafferty(surprise!). From what I've seen so far I think Hodnett has been the most consistently fast.

.... this one topic is why I've missed you all so very much!
the opening thread... "What's wrong with Tyler..." what a freakin' lead! Even a knappy headed, fifty year old Armenian like me could have a go at that one.

Went through a hell of a time... wife had (has) an inoperable brain tumor. Doctors, specialists, two operations... life is just now getting back to normal.
Thank God for great friends, family and a couple of partners that helped with my practice and the restaurant... I hope to be pissin' folks off soon. Just like I never left!
Might have to start will all those whiners pissin' and moaning about Jason Meyers... previous series champs can soak tires in xylene; mix propylene oxide with their methanol; not just run Davis Tech units hidden away, but sport one of Bill's decals on their car... don't get me started on all our little 'tweaker' buddies and their second chances!
Life is good!

Good God Chas, someone has hijacked your "mywebsite"!
I've still been sending you junk once in awhile hoping to get a response, so I'm glad you popped back up and things are getting back to normal for you and your wife.
We still have a BIGFISH or two waiting for us, and I'm heading down next weekend. How's your place coming along? Have you managed to keep going on it?
Kenny
