It doesn’t take a genius to see that SOD is trying to save racers money, but some brainiac on the SOD Facebook page complained because tire prices for the new tires didn’t go down since the tires are SO MUCH smaller.  Give me a break, this guy really knows where manufacturing costs are.  wink

SOD has released the first dates for their new format: http://www.sprintsondirt.com/2015/11/23/engine-pro-sprints-on-dirt-presented-by-arp-returns-to-crystal-motor-speedway-in-2016/

This is all I could find on SOD's Facebook page regarding tire costs.

"It says there won't be an increase (tires). I assume since there is much less tire to buy, there will be much less to pay?"

Not sure I would agree that is a complaint.  I would say it is more like a question (hence that curvy thing at the end of it) looking for verification.

But this is the internet, where facts are irrelevant and people use fake names to avoid accountability.

I will add though, that I think tire costs are ridiculous.

While I confess not to knowing all the in and outs of the technical side , I think its time for some group or promoter to improve  winged 410 racing and lower costs . It looks like that it is just some of the reasoning behind this move , don't you think ?

I agree, and SOD seems to be willing to take the lead in this deal.  I'm sure they will have plenty of new friends once they are successful.

Here is a chance to see those new tires -

Duane Davis aka nodust once had a thread that went almost this long or longer, it was about an airplane crash....had lots of thought and opinion but to be honest you had to be there to get what I'm typing....

Yes, I remember the plane crash thread. Could not believe what that stirred up.

Why would anyone just type something on a message board for the express purpose of keeping something on the front page?
