All these improvements would be good, but I think they're side issues. The main point is to get people INTERESTED in the RACING, then they'll put up with whatever is necessary.
They can use immaculate bathrooms & hi speed internet at home, & save $$$

My punctuation, grammar, etc......usually sucks! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to read what they were trying to say. I started over 3 times and finally just had to give up. It might have been a great message.....but I couldn't read it!! I tried man....I tried!!!

Super Chuck can say with 100% confidence that when he asks Mama Chuck if she wants to head to Lake Ozark Speedway for the 360 show next weekend, she would NEVER respond with, "But what if the bathrooms are pooey?". She'd be like, "Hell yeah, I'm in. Let's load up the whole Chuckin' family after football practice and point it South."
Super Chuck gets it, bathrooms are a big deal for chicks. Heck, Mama Chuck REFUSES to use a porta-potty unless it's the absolute only option. But some of you guys are acting like Knoxville has holes in the ground to squat over. Are they the Taj Mahal of bathrooms? Absolutely not, but the place is far from a dump. Super Chuck doesn't spend a whole lot of time in the ladies shitter since "the incident" but Mama Chuck rarely comments about Knoxville's potties so they can't be that bad.
Anyone staying home just BECAUSE of the Knoxville bathrooms would also say "these cars are too noisey and I got yucky dirt in my hair". You shouldn't cater to that crowd because you won't keep them. There are thousands of women in the stands every week that show it's not the widespread issue it's being painted as.
Knoxville is light years away from most tracks, yet some of our vocal locals just have to find something to bitch about. It really gets old. Super Chuck went out East to catch some PA action and really wish more people would get off the Knoxville porch so they realize just how good they have it.

I gotta say Super Chuck, your posts crack my ass up! Mama Chuck? Chuckin' family? It doesn't work for Sarge or Egras. Super Egras? No ring. Super Chuck? Rolls right off the tongue. When I read your posts I picture you drinking a PBR, TV in your backyard with aluminum foil wrapped around the antennas, fixing the mount on your gun rack in your 1980 Datsun pickup. Did I nail it?
Funny $hit! Keep it up!

To the topic of drivers and track staff being on this forum I have always been amazed that it is so common. I know many just post news, facts or updates which I understand but I must agree that staffers sharing an opinion is scary. Trust me I learned the hard way with a different sport in a different country at a different time. FYI most Canadian hockey leagues have social media policies that pretty much prevent any social media (personal or local hockey conversation) by players and staff to the point of suspensions and fines. From my experience I know it is hard to keep out of it if someone attacks your favorite whatever but try to ignore it. It isn't a personal attack that requires a response. Proving your point to an anonymous cyber person wont affect your life. Let it slide. For example Tony Stewart racing in his own series seems like a problem just waiting to happen. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the reason Schatz chose to race his own late model instead of his own sprint was to eliminate any problems that may arise from him dabbling with his own car in the same sport where he is a "professional" driver.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

They expect free WiFi? Boohoo
Perfect opportunity to break them of the habit...

Rev, unfortunately, that is not going to happen and it is only going to get worse.

My wife and I have Verizon, on Friday and Saturday of Nationals, the entire network was operating slowly due to traffic. WIFI would have helped greatly in the pits for both Race Monitor and the Knoxville App (used for lineups). I do however feel this would be a major undertaking as you would probably just run into the same network traffic issues with the track's wifi during nationals, unless Knoxville is willing to spend big on bandwith and equipment.
The restrooms are inadequate. Don't even try to argue. Just work towards getting them fixed.
Maybe you should have fireworks (instead of just advertising them on twitter LOL). Kids love fireworks and parents will take kids to that type of event for that reason only.
I'll know more tonight on this topic as a friend came for the first time 4 weeks ago (never been to a sprintcar race), and has only missed one night since then, he is hooked. His wife is coming tonight for the first time. We will see what type of impression everything has on her. So either the track will have 2 new fans or just 1. We shall see in the morning.
I do not agree with your approach Eric. As a representative of the track, I feel you should stay off message boards unless it is for promotional use. Getting into it with a paying customer in public is not a good look for you or the track. In fact, you have used very poor judgment in this case. Vande just wants to argue, and all you did was take the bait. It almost feels as if you have some personal issues with him.
You could just be like me and try to ignore all his posts where he constantly tries to push his opinions on everyone as if they were facts.

Mr. Arnold also used extremely poor judgement when he wrote a very damaging story about the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame a few years ago. The oldtimers were not at all happy with his comments on the 'can't get it right' concerning the electors. A few years later he again miffed the Hall of Fame with his statement 'they FINALLY got it right' meaning one of his favorite drivers would now be inducted. He lost a lot of credibility with those writings and apparently he has not learned and continues his childish responses on message boards.
