The car/driver was obviously struggling in the A Mains.
From the MRN.com website, Saldana started in the top ten 19 times so far this year and finished ahead of where he started just ONCE in those 19 races. Overall, in 37 races, Saldana finished ahead of where he started 10 times and just twice since May.

I think I read somewhere (not my stat, I read it) that Joey was a combined -101 (maybe it was -111) in A Main action, meaning he LOST a cumulative 101 spots from where he started thus far this year. Ouch...

Hoping someone here will tell me if it's Swank they are talking about and exactly it is they saw. I've only briefly met him a couple times but he seemed very cool, mellow.
If it were up to me they would bring in Bill Balog, although I'm not sure what their plans are as far as getting car owner points money from the WoO or what. But I believe Bill is ready to face whatever competition there is out there. A true outlaw schedule of all the big shows in PA, OH, WI, Iowas and Illinois and surrounding areas could be profitable.

I too am very confused but thought they were referring to Swank bc of the topic. But I honestly have no idea. I've met him too before the races and I've also seen him during intense moments in the pits...different cat when pressure is on.
I'm a Balog fan and think he is a Top driver in the country, but I'm not sure he wants to travel that much. You'd know better than I given you're around him more. I know he wants to travel more, just not sure that means coast to coast with a young family and job. Then again he has stated his goal is to run WoO someday. It'd probably be weird for him to JUST drive. He'd probably pick up a wrench in a heartbeat cause it's an automatic response and start turning wrenches, haha. Not sure I see a WoO team turning to him though. Would be cool to give him an opportunity though.

yeah you're right about wondering if Bill really wants to travel that much. he has young children and a wife. and he lives in the greatest state in the universe. :D
can't really criticize any of the CA drivers names I've seen mentioned here. CA drivers have had a lot of success, in many forms of racing.
