I live in Oklahoma and have relatives in Waverly, Ohio. This summer I went to a race at KC Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio and it got rained out after hot laps and Jim Nier refunded my money. Anytime during the summer that I am in Waverly I will go back to KC Raceway

As much as I hate to get in this inane thread, Knoxville does give the fan a choice of refunds or trade-ins if the heats don't get in. The exceptions in the past have been Nationals shows where the raindate is on Sunday (the next day, not five months away as is the case here)...

I have run across two tracks in my travels over the years that didn't give a refund in a case like this, and one caved in and gave them after legal action was threatened. The other, I don't go to anymore, and as far as I know, is dead to the open wheel world...

but playing in to your horrible comparison. here is an irony for you. - on the "fateful" day - i'm sure there were some who wouldnt change a thing about it they could - because Nascar exploded and many profited by that. just like it wasnt "fateful" for those piece of shit promoters that the rain came ----- they made out like bandits.

they scheduled this race in HOPES to get many out of town guys. and then use a rain check as a ploy to get them to come back in the spring - when tracks closer to those will be racing. and no - as badly as they shanked all of that - just reading the MULTIPLE eye witness accounts of the whole deal - whatever BS race they did schedule would NOT pay the same.

I would never go as far to say there is some code of ethics in promoting. but i PRAY that these guys just screwed themselved royally. and if their locals - either drivers or fans - think there is something defensible about what it being reported everywhere ----- ya;ll dont deserve a track - even the piece of shit one this sounds like.

i would be my bottom dollar. this show is DONE. them hosting and then actually GETTING a good field of sprint cars - DONE. and by all rights - as promoters - they SHOULD BE DONE. if there was any good intent involved --- there would not be so many of the same embarrasing accounts of the situation on here. they have screwed themselves. and sadly - for racers and fans up there - may have screwed that track up too.

this situation was not a huge risk BS that you're talking about. those trying to defend what happened up there are full of BS. there is no excuse for not giving the money back. certain ignorant swine can try to defend it ----- but take a look at what their "big" races draw next year ------ and tell me if I am right - or if I am wrong.

also - if they were talkin crap on ASCS officials - i doubt there would be a race taking place there next year. didnt something like that happen at Kilgore, Texas a few years back? not sure just thought i remembered hearin something like that.

and out of shameful curiousity - i wander just what remarks they made about ascs and/or their officials? thats a series that at least has some dignity and common sense - something these 2 blokes in SW Missouri appear to lack completely....

there are many things that could prevent people from returning on a certain date. a whole slew of em. and it aint right for the dirty bastards at that track to be so naive as to think everyone - driver, pit crew, whoever - - - can just come back. and your last statement kind of implies that if a team is big enough they should be able to make it back - so what? just take a shit on those that cant?

We came to Springfield Raceway to support Ozark Mountain Midget series in their second Turkey night race. This was our second trip to Springfield. We came about six hundred miles for this race and we were not told of a fifty dollar car cost. We were amazed the track promoters didn't refund the cost of entering this race since we did not get a chance to put our car on the track. We waited patiently like all the other race teams for the weather to change, but it was evident this just was not going to happen. We thought it was a folley when the track promoters were trying to start the heat races to get the track from becoming worst in condition. This was very unsafe and was a protential for damage to the race cars. Hopefully the promoters will realize their error and contact all the teams for a refund.

this is excellent entertainment - starts off with two jokers screwing the racers and ends with "HOW MANY WINS DO YOU HAVE?"!

call the State AG and let reality take its course...maybe the AG will enjoy the tapdance too.

Im asking this as a legitimate question has anyone ever noticed if THE FABULOUS SUNSHINE44 has ever posted on here before. I get on here alot and have never noticed his or her whichever it is posts on here. Would really like some input on this as i have an idea who THE FABULOUS SUNSHIE44 might be. Mr Pardo.....I was pitted right next to you in the 44.  And before anyone freaks out......I AM NOT affiliated with Sunshine44.  We didn't pay $50 for the car entry.  We paid $15.  $35 pitpass + $15 car = $50.  We also got our complete refund for the race receiver.
