In case you weren't aware, where you qualified on Sunday determined where you ended up for the most part.  A real race fan would have figured that out already, but most cheerleaders couldn't, which are you, lol?

Beardman, I laugh with every single post, the anger comes from those being made fun of with the real facts.  Who cares how many years it was, other than the last few years the Outlaws DOMINATED Lincoln, don't care how you look at it, not sure why you can't figure it out, did you ride the short bus to school?  Just askin'....

Anger and insults go hand in hand.

Stevie didn't win it last year. David Gravel won last year. He got by Smith Jr. late in the race for the win last year. Smith faded at the end of last year's race after getting very loose getting in to turn 1.  Gravel was driving a California based car. Not midwest, not Knoxville, Not Posse.  California is on the West coast.  Amazing what some people forget after just 1 year.

Faded my ass Gravel punted him.

Glad he won. Very deserving and hard working. Stevie had 15-20 years of toug times after having it all. (WoO big time rides with IR, etc) Geeze, think about where you were and what you were doing 25 years ago and what your priorites, interests, work focus was. I am amazed at these guys who spend a lifetime thinging day in and day out how to get around an oval quicker the next time out for 30-50 years. Nice guy, so glad he got the W.

I don't know, it seems to me the cheap aura that gave them some leeway has finally started to disappear. Multiple race teams have had to put new cars together this year to find something that works. Before they would have never said anything about it publically or in interviews. Might be ok for the big teams that are on a deal to go through a couple to find one that works, but it won't fly forever in the real world. You get a bad car every once in a while with a American manufacturer, but it is the exception, not the rule. Doesn't sound like I would want to buy any used chassis that are "like new" or "only have a couple of races on them" this fall. If it sounds too good to be true this year it is. And it's not one or two race teams, it's a majority.

But he is holding a $50000 check, not Stevie.

Get over it!

Same old racist bs as usual.  One day you'll wake up and realise it's 2015 and a different world but then no probably not.  Still the biggest arsse on the forum...

Why was it that Johnson, Madsen, McMahon, Saldana, Allen, Gravel and even Tim Shaffer were all either in the C or B mains on sunday? Is it because theyre just THAT bad or the field of cars was just that tough?

Theres multiple WoO wins, All Star wins and All Star championships between those drivers so i dont think theyre THAT bad..

I wasn't there but all indications were that the track wasn't that good and Grove is not an easy track to figure out unless you race on it regularly , just like Knoxville where most of the time the regulars and WoO drivers have the edge . Also to give you another comparison running weekly at Port Royal is an advantage , just look at who has done well there or even at Lincoln is the same way . Hope that helps some ?

Believe what you want. They all have been putting new cars together this year to try to find one that works. Smith had a new one for the Kahne race after struggling for a month and he only runs 15 shows. What are they a 10 race chassis? Hodnett has put together more than one new car. Monteith has struggled. Marks struggled and finally had to go back to the one car he knew worked. It is easier to do when you are on a deal. Normal people don't have the time or money to go through all that no matter how cheap they are.

I think you have way way way oversimplified this.  I would ask you to do the exact same thing I just did, Work out a spread sheet of the finishing positions vs the starting positions of the A main, vs the qualifying time and you might be surprised.  Alot of folks came up 3-4 positions/lost 3-4 positions in the A-main.  Granted some stayed put as well, but there is an interesting statistic to be seen.

IMO what you will see when you look at the timetrials vs the finishing orders vs the passing positions and such is a track that was hard for a crew chief/driver to read and a track that alot of people just flat missed their setups.  Those that hit their setups were pretty obvious.  Those that didn't are pretty obvious too.  I'll just hit the highs and low marks.

Monteith + 7

Stewart + 8

Darrah + 9

Dietrich - 5

If some of you still haven't realized that mspn and cubicdollars are uncurably dumb, remember that you can't fix stupid. For a more scientific reason to their idiocy, Google the "Dunning-Kruger effect." In short, it says some people are too stupid to ever realize how dumb they are. This applies to both of them.

What do you call a foreign manufacture who copies a product who has no clue what it is or even how it it spelled?

What do you call the people who will go to no ends to who defend them?

Not saying Deitrich wouldn't have fallen, but he also spun out, so he shouldn't be considered in with dropping because of car setup.
