What's not to like about a TW thread? I'll resurrect this one.
Pop-up another bag.

God forbid.. But if he is involved in anything and someone is injured.. It has lawsuit all over it.
There is a reason that it's called an addiction.. He had had many "2nd" chances, and yet somehow he continues to need another 2nd chance.
Can someone research the list of drivers that publicly stated they wouldn't be on the same track as him.
To those do gooders that want him to race... I'm sure you also want to allow pedophiles to work at daycare centers.
Racing is dangerous enough without someone indulging in substances that create artifical bravery and invincibility

Yes TW was a gasser and was an exciting driver but the drama of his life is more than I care for. I think with his history he should be drug tested, but synthetic urine is easy to find. I'm a bit envious that I didn't have a rich daddy to support me, and enable me, and bail me out of my troubles. All that aside I hope he has changed things around and has a nice visit to PA

Pedophiles claim they can't control their addiction either..
When it comes right down to it.. A crime requires a victim.. Society does their best to protect the innocent from offenders that "can't control themselves" and have the potential from past actions to create a victim. (Hence the pedophile reference).
In racing, judgement and your accountability for your actions does not need the risk of driver impairment.
If someone has failed at their multiple 2nd chances.. Why would a car owner, sanction or track want to associate themselves with that risk of liability (the same reason a daycare needs background checks.)
Those that do not learn from history are destined to repeat it.

Addicts don't care about exposing others to risks, harm or destruction.
People will make excuses for their own actions and those close to them that suffer from addiction.. Until it's too late.. To
For those that resent my analogy.. Think alcoholism.. Their is a reason why society eliminates their legal ability to drive on the roads.. It's the same thing.. Impairment that risks others is unacceptable.

NASCAR agreed with the sprint car drivers who went on record for drug testing...several years before the WoO joined other racing sanctions in cleaning up their act.

You made a direct accusation: "To those do gooders that want him to race... I'm sure you also want to allow pedophiles to work at daycare centers"
I think TW should be allowed to race, after a drug test. I don't think pedophiles should work at daycare centers
See, you're wrong. Just admit it
& try to make your arguments without ridiculous low blows

is there a big difference in recidivism rates of drug usage and the other thing being discussed...or not?
you only have to go back to your bad habits once to fail your second chance...then it becomes a third chance...and so on

Looks like we'll have to get a rain check on this one - which I'm absolutely sure will get honored.
Darn shame to see another Red Pepper TW thread all-for-not
Until next time.........

Ist point: If you can provide proof that TW is still using, then you have a vaild point, otherwise if you are just speculating with no proof.......
2nd point: Are you so sure every driver or crew who signs in at the pit gate for a race is clean?
3rd point: "pedophiles at daycare centers", how does that relate here? Are you saying TW got his drugs at a racetrack? Give me a break.

Glad to see you decided to stop in at Attica! It's my home track and they always have a fantastic program and efficient show. Friday looks like the most possible day to get a race in so lucky timing there.
