So happy I did this, so nice to see some old friends back where they belong, so to speak.

Really great to hear from Bud's Bride and glad to hear things are going well for the two of you, always special to hear from an old racer so a big hug for Bud from Kim and I.  Curt another veteran racer with more than a dozen Nationals under his belt is another guy I miss, nice to hear from you as well, you two still remain my KC connection if you don't count who I wake up with every day, lol.

Rude, what a crew you had staying with you during the Nationals all those years, heck even BRR brought his Dad out from PA one time.  I eventually ended up having dinner at Dad's place a few times, his wife could do wonders with a roast and the fixins.  Those were some memorable days and again I thank you for the hospitality and laughs.

Todd, you always were the quiet one but the most knowledgable because you worked the tour, you could set a few of these morons straight in more ways than one...

|Hawker, from racefan to race shooter and good to boot, job well done!

Missouri RF, you need to post a photo of that tatoo you have, don't forget the photo credit, lol.  Get your butt up here to Canada and bring that kid with ya'...

27R, heck didn't you host me during the Dirt Rainy Cup one year at Skagit?  I was way too miserable due to the rain and lack of sales, I should have partied a lot more with you folks, always regretted that, thanks again.

Paint, sure miss you hanging around the booth and visiting with me and all the other Hosers who stopped in, so quiet all year and so not quiet during the Nationals, guess it helps if you're not driving, lol...

Stan, you have added way too much common sense in this forum for an awful long time, wish we could have spent more time at Knoxville.  Michael N, I think I remember you as a stats guy, coming up with answers to peoples questions about certain races etc.  Not sure if we ever met at the Dingus but I thought we were supposed to, my fading memory, my  bad.

Turns out there are still some of the ol' gang left, hoping to hear from more, enjoy your day....

Good memory !  I sure don't party like that anymore. Be well

Randy

I've been on here since before they got rid of the mini-donut stand at Volusia! Twitter has been my main info for all things dirt. At age 50 I don't get to as many shows as I once did. I see more races out of Ohio and I live 45 minutes from Attica and 20 minutes from Fremont...I guess I'd rather be at Lake Erie and in bed at 9:30 anymore! Great meeting and talking with MSPN over they years...go Bolts!

I believe it was 99 when I 1st heard of Hoseheads. Man turned alot of people onto this place.

Met ole MSPN in 2000 or 2001 at Terre Haute & told him it was nice to meet the #1 Card Carrying PA Posse Member.

Met Hawker in 04 at Oskaloosa, thanks to him I went to my 1st Knoxville Nationals & yes he made me pay for the tickets. He went & set with Shaun & Petey set with me. I "camped" out in my Aerostar van at none other than Rudedogs that year.

I 1st met Petey & YZMan at Eldora, I do believe it was the Mopar Million. Met a few others there also.

For those of you I forgot sorry I don't remember everything.

Met a lot of folks off of another board in 2006 when we stayed at some super fine folks just North of Knoxville. Mike & can't remember her name to save my life. Had some rough times since then I hope they are doing good. That board went by the wayside & it was started again by a couple of good people that has since closed up shop.

We had some good chats at the Princeton National.  I will be 64 in a few months and have cut back to around eight races between Cedar Lake and Saint Croix Valley a quarter mile that runs non-wing Sprints a few miles up the road from the family lake home.  I still take a few photos and will be doing a preview article in couple weeks so I still dabble in writing a little.  I've got three grandsons and one of them is a five year old who I think is ready to be introduced to racing.  Cedar Lake has an indoor arena where they run karts on Saturday afternoon so we're going to get him out there and if he doesn't make me have to chase after him too much we'll stay for the outdoor races.

Some of us original members are older now and aren't getting out as much.  The recliner feels pretty good now after running around the yard all day.

I've been a regular for many years.  I've made a lot of  friends and pissed a lot of people off and been pissed off at some myself.  I have veered away from the intended topic of sprint cars a few times, have been an advocate of personal opinions perhaps too much but it has all been with good intensions.  I'm a Unionist, Liberal, Native Rights Advcate and a Made in America supporter.  However my foremost passion is sprint cars and has been for at least 60 years.  Other contributors to this forum have come and gone but many still remain.  Us longtimers, like all the others may not always agree, be it sprint car issues, current events or politics or China made chassis but it has sure made for an interesting experience. I sure miss No Dust (Duane) and others that can no longer post and those that can post but for whatever reasons have decided not to.  I've been on here a long time and intend to stay till the end.

Cheroger, great to hear from you, was hoping a few more might have tuned in over the weekend but c'est la vie.  We are missing a lot of good ones from Posseville, Cobra, Grove Girl BRR, Smitty and a bunch of others were here for a lot of the fun days.  Something missing in this thread, a bunch of cursing, hmmm, no surprise there to those that partook in this, is there......

YOU ARE RIGHT AGAIN ! It does seem strange to read so many consecutive posts and not a "discouraging word" or curse word ! Thanks for the wake up call,Mike.

Our good fortune was "watered down" by another rainout(actually two) over the weekend when Lakeside lost both their Friday night regular show and the World of Outlaws had to be rescheduled as well but it's no different than every other racetrack in the country is having to endure so we will quietly accept our lot with the rest of them.

It was really great to hear from "OSCAR" and can only imagine the fun that they will have when they hook up with Stubb in a few weeks distant.

Mike, you are the idiot. Just because you think "traveling across the country watching races for years" makes you cool or informed doesn't mean it is true. You prove that being to races doesn't mean you have a clue. No one respects your opinions because they are laughable, so please look at yourself in the mirror when you make this type of thread. Pot, kettle, black, etc.

Here lately, I pay very little attention to those posters with fewer than 100 postings.  They all seem to be of a new generation of disrespectful clueless ditto-heads.

Yea, the best metric for intelligence is post count.

Lets face it a lot of us are getting older and some are unfortunately passing away. Things change, its just how it is in life.

Many of the posters I liked reading posts from on here are deceased. Nodust, openwheeler, carwash, tripcrwn etc we're all good folks to read posts from. I certainly didnt agree with the political and religous posts of nodust and openwheeler but I knew I could always count on them for a laugh.

Cheers!

I'm still around Mike. Seldom post anymore. Doesn't seem to be discussion, seems to be looking for a fight. Hope you come to Nationals, maybe I'll run into you.

That's probably the most intelligent posting by a newby, so far.

I been around suince 1958 ,saw my first race at selinsgrove in 1955 but only a 1 time deaI,I started going regularly in 1958 at port royal and went religously every saturday nite to port royal n other central pa. speedways until around 1980 then i got away for a few years and started going agian as a regular from early 1980s into 2010, now I only go a few times a year but  I still follow online most of the races, especially port royal speedway every week, I saw frankie thompson, leroy felty, don kimberling, bryan osgood ,from new york state mitch smith, jan opperman, n doug wolfgang ,keilth kauffman I saw keith drive his first races in the bobby abel number 2, kenny weld all those guys from the 60s n 70s and even the late 1950s, oh and dick tobias, he drove for regester chevy out of richfield ,pa., and many more good race car drivers, too many to mention now, what a fine griup of drivers we had over the years, its hard to believe how fast the years went by.If you want to go to see a good show, you need to give port royal speed wayt a look, they are doing a fine job resurrecting that speedway

I am still going to 70+ races a year, but only find frustration in here. MSPN can tell you that I am Posse born and raised, but undestand that sprint car racing does not revolve around PA. Now, my favorite drivers follow the Outlaw tour and my son currently works for one of the teams on the tour. I have been on this site since the mid 90's, it has changed for the worst. Still visit from time to time, but get a little frustrated with all the negativity on here.
