Tyler can quit drinking, smoking, snorting, and shooting any time he wants!
Hell, he's done it four or five times now!

Wow, I thought I had gone back in time. I checked my calender, and no it's 2007
Why in this day and age so many people can be so backward in their thinking is appalling.
Did you know that a lot of professionals who work with substance abuse find it as difficult for some people to stop smoking as getting off hard drugs and that addicts and alcoholic's have only have a 10% success rate of staying clean and sober. How do I know that? Because of right now, today, I'm in the 10%.
Little Al didn't get it till recently. he finally had to admit he was a alcoholic. He didn't think he was one of "those" people until this last deal when he was arrested, again. little Al has been one lucky man. I hope he stay's in the 10% or his luck will run out.
Thanks Bill W for standing up.

that is right,
i for one, have had friends that usedor still use drugs. myself have
never touhed them. yo know what my friends are still my friendss and i
would do anything for them to help them quit. some say it is not a
desease or sickness but i beleave it is. it is real funny that we
judge a higher profile person that gets caught than we do our own
friends, that we really know and truely care for. i would almost
bet that everyone that posted to this thread knows or has known soeone
that had an addiction and you cnsidered or still consider them friends.
i truely hope tyler gets the help he needs and that we get to see the talent he has again behind the wheel
one other thing did jesus turn his back and walk away from his friends no he did not. he died for us.
now it is our turn to help anyone we know tat has a problem. some will never get over it or admit to it, but we need to try.
sorryabout the rambling, i hope i made some sense

i really don't get it ? how could someone siting around smoking a doobie every once in a while and listing to the news and reading the news paper every day about some DRUNK driver killing a family of 4 or him/her self decide too stop smoking and start or continue drinking alcohol ? i have never in my 48 years of life ever herd of a stoned driver killing anyone on the roads.i do not drink or do drugs but if i had to choose for sure it would be pot,yes i did smoke all thru high school and yes i have bad spelling and grammar but you will never hear of me killing that family of 4 because i ran out of beer and had to go to the store for more-----------------and remember this ---god made pot and it WAS legal and a drunk made alcohol and it WAS illegal WHO ARE YOU GOING TO TRUST ?

Drug addiction is a disease ONLY because there is a profit to be made from it in the corporate and professional worlds.
I can only shake my head in dissappointment about Tyler. I really like the guy. He has Kinser-esque ability behind the wheel. I just can't help but think he's going down the same path as Tim Richmond. I hope he gets straightened out before it's too late.

Huh??? What does this have to do with Tim Richmond? Tim wasn't on drugs.

Faster Pussycat is one of the first alternative rock bands. Great music.
Why would you assume that he is driving stoned? They tested him for drugs and found the substance in his system. It could have been consumed up to 36 hours prior. Based on the assumption that he may be driving stoned they should also do random sampling for alcohol. Impaired is impaired. While your at it lets limit stimulants like ephedrine and caffaine tablets or even Red Bull. All create an artifical high.
I don't do drugs other than alcohol (yes it is a drug), but I have friends that do. They don't do it at work and they don't do it and drive. In fact they don't do them any differently than they would alcohol.
Anyone remember watching Nascar in the 70s and 80s and seeing smoke coming from Dick Trickle's cockpit? Probably the only Nascar driver to ever have a cigerette lighter installed in the dash of a cup car. As soon as there was a wreck he would light up.

"They subjected Richmond (and Richmond alone) to a drug test and several days later, NASCAR announced that Richmond was suspended indefinitely for testing positive for banned substances. Richmond was livid saying that he had not taken any banned substances and demanded another test, which he passed. NASCAR later admitted that the only substances found in the first test were the over-the-counter medications Sudafed and Advil. They also released the permanent ban, but refused to allow Richmond to drive again until he surrendered his medical records that said he had AIDS.
However, regardless of the circumstances, the damage to Richmond and his career had been done. The rumor mill began and many other NASCAR drivers were now aware of Richmond's condition and speculation began as to how he contracted the virus. At the time, the most common methods for contracting HIV were assumed to be through male homosexual sex or drug abuse using infected needles. To this day, no one is completely sure exactly how Richmond contracted HIV."

The U.S. Government subsidizes and makes billions off the world's most addictive drug. . . . tobacco.
Pray that Tyler is able to overcome his problem
