It just dawned on me Perry Tripp is restoring the 94 and Terry Tripp was the last driver. Is there a connection?

No connection, but I did speak with Terry on the phone. He was the last owner/driver of the car. On only the 3rd night he raced the car, he hit the wall hard and flipped at Amarillo speedway in the mid-80s. After that, parts of the car were sold off and the car went to the salvage yard in Amarillo where it stayed until Mark McClintock (St. Louis area) purchased it in 2004.

Here's the latest pic of the Shot Hampton car. As you can see, I've finally turned it into a roller. Still have a long way to go. Have more info posted under My Photos and My Blog (Perry Tripp). Hope you guys out in Supermodified Land enjoy the pictures.

Talked to Shane Carson the other day, and he has recently gotten a cowl from Tulsa, and a pair of Safety Racing wheels for the 94.

Perry is an absolute perfectionista, (take it easy Perry, you may want to get it dirty! LOL)

Pics Perry post some time ago on the photo gallery

This car has always had that "drive me and win" look. I have nice stuff down here, but drool and lust for every part on this car. No wonder this was a fave for so many.

Side view - It's a roller for now!
