Hey everyone out in Posse land! Larryitis and myself will be making our first trip out to PA at the end of April for some racing. Neither of us have been out to PA before. We plan to hit the ASCoC shows at Williams Grove and Port Royal during our swing. The plan as of now is to fly to Philly (best priced plane tickets), and find something to do in the city that Thursday night (unless there is racing out there somewhere that we don't know about?), then hit Williams Grove Friday and Port Royal Saturday before heading back to WI to catch an IRA sprint car show Sunday evening. Any advice anyone can give us on things to see, things to do, places to eat, best places to sit and watch the races at either track etc etc etc would be greatly appreciated! We do plan to get pit passes at the Grove! Thanks in advance everyone!

I know Larryitis and he is a good dude.  Let me know how it goes.  Our family makes a regular trip to Maine and we will be going again next summer.  Would like to schedule a couple of stop thrus to see some racing on the way out or back.

Have fun, Mike and Brian.  Wish I could have made it, but I'm old.  Oh wait, that's not the reason lol

will definitely be doing that, I enjoy seeing the races from a few different perspectives throughout the night, especially the first time at a new track. I doubt I could sit still if I wanted to.

I can vouch for this.  One second you're talking to Larryitis right next to you......5 minutes later, you lean over to ask him a question and he is gone.  You don't see him again for 2 hours when you spot him across the track!!!  LOL!!!

Had a great time, and we really lucked out with the weather. Looking forward to coming back in the future. I'll try to sit down and type some more soon. So much to talk about...

Glad you had a good time, you're right, perfect weather last weekend.

You should come back for an Outlaw weekend next time, although the weather for those is usually 50/50 at best.

We discussed that. With how important a stout motor is, I imagine the WoO nights provide a really virile field . I should be able to make it there for the National Open this year. learned a few things as far as cutting costs down a bit for the future. I really love the BYOB, and the general admission in the infield. the infield as a whole is just excellent. I wish more tracks in WI were able to pull it off. great for those with kids, and people that just straight up don't want to be packed in tight.

My son and I get to the Grove every week and we never set in the grandstands. We purchase pit passes and set up chairs in the infield. Walk thru the pits until hot laps, then head for the infield. I like the freedom of moving around and watching the racing action from different locations in the infield. Go back into the pits during down time. Only negative is not being able to see the front stretch because of the haulers, but IMO small sacrifice to pay for the ability to move around. Same thing when we go to Port Royal. Better sight lines at Port as haulers park outside the track.

Glad the weather  held up for you guys.
