Hello everyone  , well you can bash me or whatever you want . I decided to put my name out there instead of hiding behind a user name , because I think I have done some positive things for you , drivers and others in this great sport we love . I know the question is what ? , sponsorships, contingency awards, done autograph sessions, help bring in some races such as USAC and hoping to bring in BOSS non-wing , have  laid ground work for various tracks or promoters to contact them and schedule dates with Aaron Fry who owns or runs BOSS . And I have done others items not to make money but for you guys to enjoy the racing which came out of my pocket .
Yes , I make it known there are things I don't like about the tracks, sanctioning groups and others.  Yes, I believe there is always ways to improve . I will gladly state things I would do or suggestions to promoters, but unfortunately it falls on deaf ears most of the time . I reply to threads that interest me not to criticize , but I guess maybe I do but not intentionally . I don't proclaim to have the answers as some suggest  , I just  don't see real creativity from alot of tracks in the way they do things to make racing and the facilities better for you the fans ., not that I don't like the racing but I believe it can always be better, can't it ?

How is only posting what's wrong with the sport or what needs to be done better helping the sport?

How does posting you only see a good winged race occasionally helping the sport?

Why do you never start a thread about what is good about sprint car racing and needs no fixing or improving?

Why do you never post the positive things you see about sprint car racing?

Why are all your posts about what is wrong and needs fixed or improved? And you know how to fix and improve it but will not say how?

I would think someone who claims to love sprint cars so much would post something positive  once in a while.

I saw great winged sprint car racing all summer atKnoxville. 30+ 410's  most weeks. Some darn good NSL shows too.

Are all sprint car races great? No. Some are boring now & then. Have all Super Bowls been great? No. Is every World Series great? No. Do you bag a trophy  buck every time you go deer hunting? No. That's how it is with sports. At all sporting events you buy your tickets and hope you see a good show.

I know folks who have season tickets to NFL games. They are not rewarded for being loyal fans. They have to buy tickets to 2 preseason games at full price.

The reward for being a fan is seeing good racing or your home team winnig. That's why you go to a sporting event. To yell and cheer and hope it's a good show & your guy or team wins.

I am being honest when I say I am sorry for you Robert because you go to a race and can only find fault. You only see what you think is wrong or bad. Very sorry.

Once again as usual, not a single detail. So let me help you along here. You said you did sponsorships...what sponsors did you get for the sport? What teams/series/tracks do they sponsor and what are the names of these businesses? You mentioned contingencies. What are the specific contingencies have you organized and who were those contingencies awarded to? You said you helped bring some races into this area and helped get USAC here. What specific races did you introduce to the area and what particular role did you play in getting USAC to come to Central PA? Come on Bob, do yourself a favor and answer these questions. If in fact you did these things, tell us about them and be specific as to what role you played in making them happen. It will only help to establish your own credibility.

He did none of that. In his mind writing a letter to BOSS counts as "laying the ground work" for getting them to race at his favorite track.

He can't spell, use proper punctuation, use proper grammar or use a space bar properly. How could he do all these other things he says he does?

I'm sure writing a letter to USAC that looked like it was written by an 8 year old had a lot to do with USAC scheduling races in Pa.

Keep up the good work Robert.  Its a crying shame that trying to grow our sport is considered a bad thing.  Twenty second laps at the Grove, chinese clones for race cars, too much cheap beer and victory lane interviews that sound like a bad episode of Cops is far from wonderful.  Lots of things need to improve regardless of what BIG Freddie tells us.

If someone says almost nothing is right about the White House right now, it means he or she has a brain that is functioning.  It doesn't mean he or she is just pesimistic, stupid, narrow-minded, negative or hates our country.

You are a gentleman Robert.  The fact that all the ridicule doesn't slow you down one bit shows your character is far beyond most on this board.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

That's the funniest post so far and by far the meanest, keep up the good work? toying with a delusional individual by agreeing with him and worse yet congratulating him for things he hasn't actually done is cruel And much more damaging then the honesty the rest of us are posting. And to top it off you encourage him to continue to deal with ridicule by posting his quarterly Debbie Downer post. Mintless, shame on you for taking advantage of Robert.

Pssst...... Robert ........... I got your back, keep it on the DL, I won't let Mintless be mean to you buddy

I know he's done the autograph sessions and some fan giveaways but I think that 90% of what he claims to have done is bullshit. As far as I know, he didn't have one damn thing to do with USAC coming to Central PA. Of course I could be wrong but since he won't ever go into any details about what he claims to have done, how are we to know? I get to most of the races in Central Pa and the only time I've ever seen or heard his name or any mention of Racing Fans Direct was when he gave away a bunch of 2 year old Knoxville posters and when he gave money to a few lucky fans at Port Royal during fair week. I won't take any of that from him but he claims to have done so much more than what I've personally seen evidence of. I think he's a liar and he's trying to get credit for things that he actually had no involvement in because he for some reason wants people to think he's more involved than what he is. I remember seeing a few Racing Fans Direct press releases over the past several years and it always said at the end to stay tuned because there's new and exciting things coming up but guess what? Nothing ever happened. Just like how he says on this forum all the time that he will go into better detail in the future but never does then he disappears for a few weeks and comes back just to start the cycle all over again. I think there are all things we'd like to see change in sprint car racing but we don't constantly bitch about it claiming to be someone who has the knowledge, ideas and influence to bring about the changes we all want to see but then proceed to not tell people exactly what we want to do or offer up any details whatsoever. How does he expect anyone to take him seriously? Given what I know and what I've seen from him, he's a bullshitter and a liar. I appreciate everyone in sprint car racing who gives us fans a show. It's not easy to survive whether you're a promoter, a driver or an owner. It's a tough gig and my sincerest appreciation goes out to those who sponsor cars/teams/tracks, own cars, risk their lives driving them and the few brave souls who take on the challenge of promoting a track or a series. It's pretty easy to lose your ass in this sport and its harder than hell to keep a team or track going if your name isn't Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne or Kyle Larson. So if there's a guy like Altman out there trying to take credit that he doesn't deserve from those who do deserve it, that pisses me off and he deserves to be exposed for it. If in fact he has done the things he says he has, all he has to do is tell us about it but he won't. He constantly just digs his own hole deeper and deeper.

Hi , this thread has gotten away from my original question , so in due time I will do a separate message or thread to answer some my critics  . I am not a liar, a bs person as I try to do what I can within my own framework of time and money  to  make your racing experience a little easier . I have had conversations with promoters , Aaron Frye of BOSS NON-WING GROUP , with USAC'S Jason Mc Cord in hope of bringing there groups to central Pa , MD , and Va. I will try to put more light on things I 've done in the separate message I will start when I have more time over this weekend . I have nothing to hide to tell you what I've tried to accomplish as one person , because I care about fans and people .I don't really have to answer my critics but I will , as I've spent 40 plus years enjoying racing , fans and all who are involved in this great sport or whats  now more of a business  compared to years ago .

But he complains about everything. He wants financial rewards for attending races and bitches about the music Gibson plays between heats. I have repeatedly asked him to make a positive post. Tell us what he loves about racing or a great race he saw. He will never do it.

Plus when you post you have great ideas to make everything about the sport better we ask for details but he will never give any. But keeps coming back and posting the same crap. You get what you ask for!

He says he wants to help make the sport better but does nothing but point out what he thinks is bad about it. That really helps the sport.

Yup, he has a right to post his opinion and I have a right to post mine.

The reason he dont post about seeing a great race is because he goes to Port Royal......I've never seen a great race there....maybe he should go to Lincoln if you all want to see him post about how great a race was.....lol.

Well with that comment you make yourself sound just as stupid as Altman. Nice job. Though I shouldn't be surprised coming from a Lincy homer. Let me tell ya, I've been to Lincoln numerouse times over the past couple years (including this years Dirt Classic) and each time the racing was a YAWN!!!! So leave your douchebag Port sucks, Lincy is great comments out of the Altman bashing thread. Unless you want to sound as clueless as he does.

Very few answers or opinions to the original thread  why they chose Sunday over  week days  , oh sorry someone did say to get it in soon as possible , thats good but at the expense of fans  and teams and it looks like the track was not good . So sorry that the racing was not good as alot of people look forward to the National open . So again I say everyone lost some money and not seein at least one other night of racing . No bashing or really complaining JUST FACTS AS I SEE IT . I really do love all racing but want to  see good racing for all you guys and ladies out there . You know and I'll get bashed for this but the Grove wasn't that good all season as far as the track goes , maybe thats part of the reason car count and crowds were down this year.

You love racing and never post anything positive about it. Odd.

Best thing you can do for sprint car racing and it's fans is to become an avid dirt late model fan and forget sprint cars even exist!

Your stupidity never ceases to amaze me. What don't you understand about the fact that Williams Grove had ALREADY PLANNED TO USE SUNDAY AS A RAINDATE IF NEEDED? Running Thursday and Friday of the next week was only in order if Sunday didn't work out. They had perfect weather on Sunday so they ran the damn race just like any other track would. Why the hell do you think that they should under any circumstance cancel the predetermined rain date when the sun is shining and there's zero percent chance of rain and schedule to run several days later and taking the risk that weather may just intervene again and guess what? That is EXACTLY happened. They rained out this past Friday so if they would've done what you wanted them to, they would've ended up raining out Friday and been forced to reschedule the National Open AGAIN. If that were the case, there's a pretty good chance it would've been ran as an unsanctioned show with a much smaller purse. You wanna talk about the fans and teams losing? The teams lose a ton if they have to run it unsanctioned with a $12,000 to win purse as opposed to $50,000 to win and the fans lose out because they don't get to see the best in the business there to take on our strong field of locals in one of the biggest races in all of sprint car racing. There's a reason why your ideas fall on deaf ears because 90% of what you propose doesn't make a damn bit of sense. If you cared about the teams and fans as much as you claim you do, you'd understand why things happened the way they did. But the fact is, you just want what you want you have yourself convinced that what you want is best for everyone else. They call that selfishness. Of course I'm sure none of this will sink in because you obviously don't possess the ability to rationalize anything beyond what you want to see.

I am sorry you feel I am stupid or some other poor name calling as you like to refer to . I understand better then you think , that Sunday was rain date. I did not say to cancel rain date , I suggested they find alternatives besides running Sunday , its one thing to run Sunday but should they not run the other dates somehow either sanctioned or unsanctioned ?  Most fans would like to see somekind of racing even if its local guys. Yes, the fans like to see our locals take on the best in the business but any racing is better then NONE AT ALL . It is not about my ideas in this case its about racing for the fans and drivers as they need to race even if it is for a lower purse . Yes, I understand why it happened the way it did but don't you think they could have found a even better solution so the teams could race and the fans saw racing ? No , it is not selfishness as you call it but logic to make up a date or dates to compensate fans or drivers . I think creativity or economic solutions for fans and teams to make up for loss is something they could think about instead whats best for the WoO . No , I am not bashing the WoO but if you look back many races over the years in Florida and elsewhere you'll see they do whats best for them instead of FOR FANS WHO TRAVEL FAR TO SEE RACING . Other sanctioning groups do this as well , could run next day like in FLA. but cancel instead of running to accomodate fans and teams . Also I choose to speak rationally not get into any argument or name calling Sir , Ok . Thanks  My critics seem to think I have all the answers and I am the first to say I DON'T  but  I do care about you and all involved in this sport , I am sure the WoO made there decision more on there drivers and what Williams Grove thought , but I just don't think enough  thought  given to there loyal supporters THE FANS .

I'm wondering why you feel the need to second guess every decision made by those who actually have a stake in the game.  I don't see how it helps anything to tear down the sport at every turn.  Sure things can be better, but recognize that your ideas require resources that may not be available.  As for the Natty Open, if I took vacation days and traveled to PA for the race (as I have done in the past), and the track told me that they were not using the advertised rain date, but instead I needed to come back next week, I would never set foot in the track again.

I think that you feel like YOU deserve more, and use your BS "fans desrve more" stance so you can act like some altruistic Robin Hood, rather than admitting what a self centered jerk you really are.

Yeah, that got personal,I've been biting my tongue for a long time.  And as far as me being an anonymous keyboard warrior, very little research is required to figure out who I am.
