The 72 should cut the cord on the anchor he's pulling behind the car. Didn't expect that performance, move over and let the fast boys through fellows.

Absolutely the worst I've seen the Heffner ride ever maybe the driver wasn't the issue along!!!! Hopefully Shane brings the 71 to town next trip so he can race instead of watch!!!

Shane probably needs to bring money if he wants to drive the 71.

If memory serves me correctly. Stewert still finished better than Smith all three nights. But yes, still very poor showing for the 72.

apples to oranges. my understanding is the 6 team is starting out in the 410 division. heffner seems to think his cars can run with larson and the outlaws. it felt like the 72 wrecked more last night than the last 2 years combined.
it would've been icing on the cake to see ryan make the 50. anybody know what happened? he fell back in the heat race but still should've had a decent starting spot for the b main.

Good stuff, good drivers, bad mojo
something missing - ain't the equipment or drivers - don't know about the wrench - but it doesn't gel

Soooooo, is Stewart coming back for the national open ? Or is the 72 going to get parked again ? If they had a good run at port royal I think that was going to be a for sure thing. But, after that showing Stewart may not want in the seat.

I was thinking the same thing. He’s leaving the 83 after this weekend.

Daryn Pittman will part ways with Roth Motorsports at the end of this weekend. He will then climb into the Heffner Racing Enterprises 72 for the remainder of the 2020 Outlaws season with Kale Kahne and Heath Moyle wrenching on the car.

I'd rather this car stayed home but about half the remaining WoO races are home, so......
Pittman + Kahne+ Moyle = return of long lost Heffner 27/72 mojo ??????
But, then again, it might be hard to tell since the 57 has pretty much settled into PA.....and, well, just about everywhere else, I guess

Never a doubt. I just wondered about the timetable.

I ain't calling anything because sadly it will depend on pill draws, but if they draw good Daryn is an immediate favorite imo. It took those guys 1 night to get that car looking better and it's been up front ever since. That, combined with DP's knowledge of Williams Grove and I like his chances.

Just a guess about 2021 for Pittman based on his recent announcement, I'd look for Heffner and him to stay together and run a schedule similar to Dewease/Kreitz (TT shows) along with traveling to big dollar shows outside of Central Pa.

After listening to his interview on Open Red this past week I don't think that's what Daryn wants to do. If he finds other employment I think he jumps all over it. Perhaps he can't find anything he likes to pay the bills and ends up in the car. I could see it happening. Being a Pittman fan I'm rooting for he and his family to be happy about their choices.
What does Mandy want? Happy wife = happy life for a man his age. His two girls are growing up fast and I don't think he wants to miss it. They aren't traveling a full time Outlaw schedule together in the RV anymore.
All this said, I can't imagine him in a different car next year. If he is wheeling a sprint car it has to be the 72.

Mojo Tuesday.
With all due respect and more - and, despite the best efforts- this car hasn't had the mojo since Daryn Pittman in 2011.
And they lost the mojo in 2012 - then Pittman left.

What? Hodnett won lots of races in that car...

Yeah, I guess I overlooked 2016. But, it still seems like there's more valleys than peaks.
2016 - 20 wins
2017 - 12
2018 - 6 - and that awful night was on 9/20 with the season winding down.
And, as I recall, Pittman had a good year in 2011 but fell-off dramatically in 2012 - then went back to the WoO and won the championship in 2013.
It just seems like this car should have 10-20 wins every year.....
At the end of the day, I guess it's further proof of just how hard it is to get to the top and stay there - to win 20 in one year year and repeat it the next year. It takes more than great equipment, a great driver, and a great mechanic. It's all gotta gel....the mojo.
Steve Kinser and Donnie Schatz made it look easy. But it wasn't.
Even the Dream Team may be past their prime.
