Yes, we would hate to have people recover in 24 to 48 hours how else can we keep everyone on government money.   That is actually my money since I pay taxes.

Who cares what you think.....when losing on facts instead of what the lame stream media is trying to push down our throats.

Our governor is a dictator.....he has so many scandals he should be impeached.

Can't wait for Monday and Lincoln!  I will be watching on Speedshift as I have a prior picnic that afternoon.  I hope Lincoln is packed with people.

He has so many scandals he should be impeached....

Such as? Other than the war on coal, granting a waiver to a company that he used to own and the nursing homes, what am I forgeting about?

Fully agree. I signed and donated to a couple of impeachment petitions.

So I'm a dickhead for trusting medical professionals & people who have spent their lives studying epidemiology over some blowhard on HH?

Facility, I agree with you.  Track surface is where I have I huge problem.  It is aspalt at best.

Stawser I work on a Late Model and our tires look better after a slick night at Port, than any other track in Pa. Not only does the moisture come back up after sunset, but its also less abrasive then any other clay around here.  Except for Trailway. If you like it heavy that's fine, but don't trash a track and then be wrong about it at the same time.

Well to get back to the original topic.

I commend Lincoln for racing.  But I think they are going about all the wrong way.  First off , in my opinion,  there are going to be a lot of unhappy people Monday afternoon.    It does not make any sense to have people just show up to buy tickets when the number allowed in is unknown.    It wouldn't surprise me if someone went to Lincoln right now to save the first 100 spots to get in. We all know people might come Sunday night or definitely Monday morning to get in line.  One person will save spots for a lot of people and someone who has been waiting hours will watch someone just pull in and walk right to the front.  It could get very interesting for general admission.

And before all you reserved seat holders chime and say that's why I have a seat.  Yes you will be let in at 3 PM.  But this is not a guarantee that you will get your reserved seat.  Social distance must be observed.   So how is this problem going to be handled ?      Let's say I have four reserved seats and you have the four next to me, who moves and gives up their seats?  I would be pretty upset to sit in seats 3 or 4 or more rows lower than my paid for seats.   Who gets first choice on reserved seats? Will it be by seniority or first come first serve?   It will get very interesting indeed on Monday!

Again I commend Lincoln for racing.  Because the Governor and other officials don't know what they are doing.   Besides killing are nursing home residents.   That's for another discussion.

I just hope Lincoln isn't doing this for a cash grab and don't realize the bad PR hit and negative fan comments  possibly coming.

RACE ON!

This is the reason I asked on how many will be allowed in.  I don't want to drive 2 hours to only find out when I get there that all spots are full.

Did you get all worked up over them reopening Georgia while Cuomo and other governors were putting our most at risk people in nursing homes in even greater harms way because of all the fearful estimates that hospitals would be over capacity? My guess is yes.

Why would I talk to Stawhead I don't even like him. Why do have to interject in politcal matters that really don't apply to you and the state that you reside in . Did someone drop a cinder block on your head when you were little because you seem a little stupid.

It is about sprintcars..

Thanks Lincoln for ingnoring the IDIOT Governor and racing on Monday afternoon!

I totally agree with you PA NJ and NY have Dictator Idiot Governers>  All 3 states need to OPEN UP RACING and give the Big Middle Finger to these asswipe Governers.  Masks are the bggest jjoke of this whole debacle because they do nothing to stop the spread of the Virus, and it has been proven that they are a bigger health risk than the virus itself by many people in the Medical Field

OPEN UP THE STATES LETS GO RACING

How many times do I have to explain this? I don't think I've EVER interjected politics on HH.
i'm just replying to Strawser. If he stopped, so would I.

I visit Pa. for more than just the WoO. I go for some of the Allstar races, both USAC tours, Pa. Speedweek, & Tusky50,etc. To me COVID is strictly a medical issue, but some people want to make it political. Did it ever occur to you that I might be worried about sitting in crowded bleachers with people who might be infected?.... so it DOES apply to me

That is what I have been saying.  Let the people that want to go to work go to work.  Let the people that want to go to the races go to the races.  If you don't feel comfortable with that stay at home.  I don't have a problem with that at all.  However,. I do have a problem with the governor saying everyone needs to still be doing nothing. His biggest scandal was making nursing homes take in Covid19 patients knowing the elderly were the highest risk.  Just on that he should be in jail.

Good luck Lincoln I wish I could be there.

No thanks, I am correct about port.  I know a couple not guys that work on late models too and the say the track is used up early in the evening... every week. No slip and slide for me.  That is not dirt track racing never was and never will be.  I watched a lot of racing from the Midwest over the last e weeks.  If the track is used up they rework it.... sometimes two or three times a night...I am ok with that at least the drivers can get a grip on the track surface.

Over the last couple of years I have been offered free tickets to Port from a sponsor...I said no thanks.  I would rather go to a place that starts out the night heavy and by the time the feature rolls out your track is at it's its best. Not all used up.

When it first started...I agree, it was medical.  A few weeks ago when they started with all the lies...I mean reasons we should stay quarteened...it became political....

Like I said, common sense isn't used anymore.

Why not get all the tracks open in PA...let the people decide if they want to go or not.

wolf has been reopening in the last few weeks.  slowly...but reopening.  you can show me your medical degree or the degrees of the people you counsel with if you think reopening everything...immediately...would have been a good idea.

i have mixed feeling about today.  on one hand i think it's time to go racing.  the selinsgrove model would have been perfect and the governor would've been wrong to shut it down again.  i'd like to hope pa speedweek could be fairly normal after a couple weeks in june of regular weekly shows.

but i hate the way lincoln is doing this.  it comes off as a cash grab...again.  i'm sure they're donating the money they make to a memorial day charity...right?  you could argue there is no right way to do this...but since i do think it's time to start up again...here's how they should have handled it:

-mandatory masks...there's a cdc advisory out to wear them.  i know the president doesn't wear it so they must not be useful.  common sense says wear them.  how hard is it anyway?  i got used to people wearing them when i lived in japan during my time in the navy.

-any information about how many people will be allowed in and where they can stand.  they've put out 1 release about this whole thing which was friday to announce it was happening.  nothing since.  it tells me they have no plan and are adding additional areas mainly to increase attendance...not keep people safe.

-internet ticket sales.  no tickets at the door.  i almost wish i can be there to see all the people who have been whining about losing their freedom shifting all their anger at lincoln speedway if they get turned away.

-a waiver to not seek medical care.  the point of this whole quarantine to prevent a surge of patiens and protect the resources we have to take care of people.  central pa has been lucky mostly because people have behaved like adults...for the most part...over the last 2 months.  that can all go out the window quickly if we put our guard down.

you're right...you should be able to make your own decisions...but there should be consequences to those decisions that don't put other people at risk too.  i'm taking my family to see some waterfalls today.  if lincoln had only waited a couple of weeks or even taken after the world of outlaws...they might have been able to do this completely the right way.

Bad attitude, Beezr

I'm not whining or making excuses. I'm trying to explain, but you don't want to think about what I'm saying.

The other thing that medical PROFESSIONALS keep saying, but you choose to ignore, is that even if you have no symptoms, you could have the disease & spread it to others.

I though you were trying to make a peace offering with your question about midget racing, but you're being hostile about a difference of opinions.

"cinderblock"??? Right back atcha, Sweetheart...
