I hope to see him on the Outlaw trail soon! Ruetzel is getting very close to running with the best Sprintcar Series in the world, the WoO!

It's probably inevitable but I don't look forward to it. To me 410 racing would suck if all the top drivers were on the WOO tour. IMO it's a good thing that we have drivers with the all-stars, regional drivers plus true outlaws all over the country that can compete with them. When that ceases to be the case, my interest in the sport will wane.

Pretty impressive run last night for Reutzel ....

Yeah he started on the pole, but that lapped traffic was as heavy as lapped traffic gets, so it wasn’t a runaway ...

There wasn't a lot of cars, but a field of quality drivers none the less . It's hard to get one on the posse, especially in their back yard ...! And kudos to Grandview Speedway for sticking out the rain and getting the show in for the first annual Hodnett Cup !!

Who thinks that there is winning and losing when posting anonymously on a message board? I guess the same guy who throws out the passive aggressive "peace and blessings" after trying to pick an iFight.

Further evicdence that the written word will be read with the worst possible tone and intention. I can't read the original post and try to create any sort of argument. Further, I don't think the original poster is purposefully or even unintentionally try to trash Reutzel at all. Just making a casual observation of which he might be right or possibly misinformed. It's conversation, not a war.

Did you ever take a debate class by chance?  If not, you should know that an ad hominem attack, which our Canadian friend used against me with his drug comments, is an automatic loser in any debate.  If you have to attack the character of the individual instead of the position they are defending, you lose.  So pardon me for my passive aggressive "peace and blessings" comment but you know, go ahead and ignore those drug comments that had nothing to do with the original conversation.

By the way, he is 2 for 2 vs the Posse this weekend in Posse territory..  I'm sure someone on here is probably going to say there is an "issue" since the Outlaws weren't in town..

Just making the Ford man looking less relevant/intelligent with every Reutzel race, so sweet....

Rod wasn't bashing Reutzel, he was just wondering whats keeping him from going from damn good to elite status

You seem to be on some kind of debating ego trip

Reutzel started on the pole and ran away until he hit lapped traffic. In the meantime Lance disposed of McMahan around lap 10 and set his sights on the 87. 69k passed the 87 on backstretch and into 3, but 87 got the lead back coming off 4 on or around lap 16. 69k stayed close but couldn’t mount another charge through heavy lapped traffic. Allstars get there 1st win at the Grove.

Second feature was a 6 invert and I think had Lance starting P5, McMahan P4, and Reutzel starting P6. 69k takes the lead on lap 14 with a pass on Kyle Moody. McMahan finished P8 and Reutzel P9 as posse finish P1 thru P7.

Track was heavy due to rain in the morning and overnight causing heat races to be pretty much follow the leader. 1 st feature had a lot of close racing put very little change of position. 2  nd feature much better with Lance winning from 5th. Monteith, Trout and DD all moved up nicely

At the end of the day what we all think and say about Aaron Reutzel is just a bunch of sprint car fans opinions, along with some stats to help.

I watched a video of Jeremy Elliot interviewing Dale Blaney a few days before this 4-night run in PA. In the interview the points race with Reutzel came up, Blaney said "Every night we've got to do something good, we just got to beat the 87". Blaney followed that by saying "To me he's (Reutzel) one of the top 5 in the country every night". Now of course that’s just Blaney's opinion, but, I think his opinion as a sprint car driver holds a little more value than ours.

Reutzel has not only taken the first 2 nights in PA, but he busted the 39-year streak of the Posse beating the ASCoC at the Grove !! Never in the existence of the ASCoC organization has one of their drivers done that !! Let that sink in, all the big names that have ran with the Allstars over the years, a big giant goose egg, nada ... Until last night ...!!

So, someone said back in this thread "what’s keeping Reutzel from going from damn good to elite status". With not just someone, but Dale Blaney himself, saying he thinks Reutzel is one of the top 5 driver and everything else he’s done over his short 410 career, I’d say his elite status is in full swing …

The only trend I've noticed is that he's 1 of the guys to beat against any 410 competition at any track in the country. I think the bad finishes are mostly cases of mechanical issues or getting caught up in a wreck. Barring bad luck he's usually at or near the front.

No question, Reutzel is the car to beat when the Allstars roll into town. He’s always close to the to in TT’s which is a key to getting in the dash and having a great shot at winning. Won 1st feature after a great battle with the 69k through lapped traffic.. 2nd feature, well not as good but then noone can win them all. 87 team gets a lot of well deserved respect from posse teams and fans! He received a nice round of applause in victory lane and Dewease walked up to him during interview to shake his hand. In addition to being a good driver,  he seems like a very down to earth, likeable guy. Interviews I’ve heard have always been professional and complimentary to others.

Another 16th place finish.  The team needs to find just a little consistency and they would be very good.

I hear what you’re saying, but how do you keep an axle from snapping ?? If it wasn't for that, who knows where he would have finished. If we look back at the causes of the teams DNF's, I'd be willing to bet the majority of them were out of the team’s control. So, it’s more of a luck issue rather than consistency ....

Regardless, he's a badass and fun to watch !!

I'm kind of in in awe of the bad luck that he is having this year. From blown engines, cars spinning right in front of him while leading, cars wrecking in heat races, now broken a broken axle. Yes you can create your own luck to a point but it just seems that things keep getting thrown in front of them, literally at times. Went into the weekend 10 points back, took the lead after the first race, lost the lead and is now 20 points back despite winning a couple of features. Got to hand it to Reutzel & Blaney this year. Reutzel still managing to win and Blaney being smooth and steady. Heading to Ohio at a couple of tracks that both are good at.

SMOOTH and steady the first word might answer alot including a broken axle.  Do not get me wrong, I love watching Reutzel wheel the car but from what I seem he is a very aggressive driver and that may contribute to some of the issues.

Cap Henry beat A-Aron by a couple feet last night.     Cap squeezed him at the finish line due to a steering issue and Cap not lifting because he wanted the All Star win.     Perhaps they almost wrecked after crossing the finish line because Aaron was not happy.     He got out of his car at the scales and gave Cap a piece of his mind.     When they took the podium picture, Kofoid shook Cap's hand but Aaron didn't.    He stood there looking like he was disgusted.

It didn't seem to bother Cap much.     Congratulations on the first All Star win Cap !

shit man he wanted to win.

Find it funny that Reutzel was ticked off by someone running him hard, as much as hes raced and as aggressive as he is Im sure he's done the same

Yup its racing, the drivers want to win. Funny how those go together.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!
