Sure do, bud! Where you said "they most likely" was where you were speculating. And you confirmed what the other poster said, that they were missing an axle at Knoxville, so they weren't wrong either. Then you provided more information, that it was replaced before they headed home.
If you want to correct the record and complete the story, by all means do it. Don't tell people to get the whole facts before they start speculating, and then speculate what was wrong with the axle. In other words, relax, calm down. Could have just said they had a problem with the axle and replaced it before heading home and not jumped on other posters.

You obviously have no idea who Maxi is. Once again you show your ignorance.

I saw the trailer missing an axle on Friday of the nationals as previously mentioned. I also made a point to look again saturday walking by the trailer and there was an axle in the trailer saturday afternoon. I saw it with my own two eyes, fact!

It would be beneficial to all racers to know what violations the Haudenchild hauler and team incurred.
This story should be national news because we all have haulers and we need to learn from this so it does not become open season on race teams haulers. DOT is enough of a pain and racket we don't need to give the government another source of revenue more than we have to.
Also I would like to know if it was a State DOT officer or a local cop that pulled the hauler over, because a local officer can't pull a truck over without a visual reason to stop the truck. Meaning if a local officer pulls you over and says they want to safety check you that is illegal. He has to give you a reason like he saw a flat tire or lights out etc. But if he is with a State officer or DOT officer then he can safety check.
One of the vast websites or racing magazines need to do a story on this so we can protect ourselves.

I just drove 1300 miles from sw Mexico, south of Puerta Vallarta to Tuscon last week and there is NO safety anything for mexican truckers. I couldnt count the number of trucks that were in the ditch, burned up due to a crash and wait, almost forgot about the dumptruck that missed the curve and ripped of the drivers side of a passengerr bus back about ten rows exposing all of the seats. so, for you pendejos that complain about little crap, shame on you...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

Again, make a public records request to the DOT for the report.
How many racers have the same problem with the DOT? Go ahead please name some.
With all the “outrage” on here it’s like this has turned into the Huffington Post blogs

Racer Goin broke. Pulling my trailer thru pa. I had the pleasure of a local municipality pulling trailers over at a closed business. I will tell you what I was written up for.
No placards. Fuel jugs where empty and stored. Here comes the best part. Fuel in 27 gallon tail tank. Maybe 5 to 7 gallons. Remember no placards. The officer said that was not legal. He said the fuel was in a OPEN vented tank and that was illegal. On lowering the rear door 1 of my lights was flickering. It stayed on in the closed or open position. Tuff, fine total. 500.00 for no placard and vented container. 190.00 for lights. Total 690.00
Mad as a hornet I went to fight it. 4hr drive thru pa and back. That magistrate could have given a rats tail less about my side of the story. Conclusion, stay out of McCandles twp. In pa. The honorable, cough, cough, judge said it should have been worse and that I was lucky. He said a hazmat team should have been called to drain the tank and the fine for that, according to mister honorable, would have been thousands.
So, your telling us, locals have no authority unless they view something. Dang man you should have been giving advice to all the attorneys in the room. The place was packed, 1 guy had his trailer there, trucker, and he asked Mr honorable to step outside and look at it because these local boys had no idea of what they were doing. He lost too, and yes he had a attorney there with him.

I am sorry to hear about your trouble Alum 427. I thank you for telling your story because we as racers need to know what is and what is not legal. Trust me I have tri axle dump trucks in Pa and I know all about the hassles with DOT.
AS far as the local officer can't pull you over with visually seeing something I was told that by a guy I dump truck with and he was told that by his companies attorney. That is the major hurdle people face with dealing with the DOT is that every cop and magistrate read the rules differently. Just to illustrate the point my father was pulled over on the Pa turnpike and fixed a "problem" and then a month later pulled over on another Pa road by a different cop and was told to fix the same "problem". My father an officer on the turnpike made me fix it and was OK with the solution. The cop looked at my father and said your on my road now not the turnpike fix it. Both Pa DOT to different rules.
I do have a question about the police looking in the trailer. Can they look no matter what or would they need a warrant? I know if you give permission which most people would because of avoiding a hassle and then still get busted. I know the sleeper of a truck the police need a warrant.
It is a shame hard working American taxpayers can't enjoy their hard earned money.
And sprint fan 19 what is your problem with people wanting to know what happened. If you really are a racing fan you should want racers to know what problems to avoid. Unless your a DOT cop or big government fan.

I think the point I’ve been trying to make all along is to get a copy of the report in order to stop speculation. Yes, I am a race fan. No, I don’t work for DOT. No, I’m not Mr big government. I’m anti speculation.
For those who are that worried about it, why not get with DOT to put on a racers seminar and what needs to be done or not done.

Unfortunately as was stated previously. Each and every dot inspector, be it state or local, read the rules differently...Do they prevent junk from going up and down the roads ? Yes, but there are no guidelines to follow. Fuel in a plastic jug with no vent is ok. Fuel in a bladder is not. Really ? These local jug heads have no clue, there not checking brakes, there looking for visible things they can write you up for without getting there hands dirty. By the time it was over I dropped a 1000.00 to a local municipality. Enough said.

If a few thousand dollars decided whether you race or not, maybe you can't afford racing. I am sure he would quit for the season if minor damage happened in the next race (eyeroll). Begging for fans for a few thousand to race means you cant afford it.

I dont think Jac was begging from anyone that i read about or heard about. I havent even seen anything stating he is upset or considering packing it in. For all he knows we know nothing and maybe he lokes it that way.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

They had a big deal in Ca. what 20 years ago about CHiPs pulling the racers over. Do believe it was a story in an Open Wheel Mag about it also.
There are some trucks out there that if I were a D O T officer I'd be pulling them over, they just look unkept.
