How?  Simple it's their rule & has been a long time. I'm not saying I take their side or anyone who may have complained about it because if it were me I'd want tonys merch trailor right next to mine because that's where the crowd will be. Hell if I were tony I'd park out on the street or spectator lot and GIVE a few shirts away, they don't want him selling, nothing said about giving it away free!  Bottom line there was way better ways to handle the situation on both sides  

as far as tony & eldora?  I & many others much prefer eldora pre tony. But that's for another discussion. 

Really??? And that explains why ticket prices vary as much as $3-$12 from one track to the next, while the purse remains the same? Hardly....it's greed. I'm quite sure ticket prices have reached far beyond the increase in costs of doing business, and purse growth.

What would WRG do if Smoke was fully sponsored by Craftsman?

I'm thinking Tony should field a second car that is plastered with ASCOS and put the date of the next race on the top of the wing to advertise to the outlaw fans. 

Looking at the pictures from last night you would have thought it was an Outlaw show judging from all the Craftsman banners and the car hauler in the midway.

Seating capacity and the amount of sponsor dollars the tracks bring in to support an Outlaw show all come into play.  Have you ever discussed your concerns with any of your local promoters to get a feel for the business of running a track and promoting an Outlaw race?  There are a lot of factors that affect gate prices.

The WoO can't fill a field without car count support from outsiders, either. Like I posted earlier, the true losers are the fans because of a pissing match like this one.

I don't see how anyone can view Stewart's behavior here as acceptable. Flat out cowardly to call out Pittman by name in my opinion. Pittman is likely several yards away in the pits and Stewart takes to twitter to air this disagreement. That's just flat out weak. 

Hell, I don't even like calling it childish. I teach high school and work with children every day that have more class and respect for other people that this. Further, children learn this sort of behavior. It's not inherent in them. They watch and learn entitlement from people like Stewart. Not getting exactly what you want? This is how you get it in Stewart's mind. Again, just cowardly to name Pittman when he's not the one that makes the decision (or rather made the decision years ago). Seriously, this is the very definition of ENTITLEMENT. Social security is not entitlement. I paid for that. It's mine. Expecting speical treatment because of who you are and what you've accomplished is entitlement. 

Lastly, I saw Stweart racing merchandise for sale in the Shatz trailer last year. Just like the Larson-Marks racing shirt availble from Shane Stewart. It was hard finding a t-shirt that I thought looked semi-classy and not the crazy oversized cartoon car logos that dominate the arena of t-shirt sales. That's why I specifically remember it. 

Did you enjoy watching them?  I have an annual subscription to Lucas Oil TV so I have been watching the Late Models every night this week.  

I think this discussion all boils down to rules and a person's opinion whether someone with money should get special treatment.  Personally I say no, a rule is a rule, but some seem to think they should look the other way because of who it is and how much he spends.  Some folks on here complain because they think money should take precedence over the rules in this case.  It's all good until the coach bends the rules and picks somebody eles' kid because on the team because his folks buy the team uniforms.  I suppose they'd be singing a different tune about something like that.

Personally I just follow the racing anymore and don't give a damn about these things but I like throwing a little something into the discussion now and then.  My attendance or lack of attendance has nothing to do with any one individual who might or might not be there.  Been watching race since 1960 and there's a lot of my favorites who won't be there anymore.

I have always liked Tony and if the outlaws have certain rules about t-shirt sales why does he think he is so special that he doesn't have to follow them . I am sure the all-stars have rules and regulations and does he feel they don't have to be followed ?  This is certainly not going to stop me from going to a outlaw show, Is he hoping this is going to turn people against the outlaws and support his series instead,Thought he was this big supporter of sprint car racing??

Wouldn't that send out a good message.  Start a series because the WoO won't bent their rules for a high profile person with money.  What would their sales pitch to race teams be?  "Come race with us if you don't like rule enforceme?"

Stewart will still end up racing with them. He is just crying. If he doesn’t race over a t-shirt trailer he might as well hang it up. Just sell shirts like everyone else does. There are no t-shirt trailers at the Grove except for the couple of times a year the circus comes to town.

If Tony really wanted to screw the WoO wouldnt his best move be to sign up Schatz as a Ascoc driver?

I know sponsors and Donny himself would likely prevent that so he would lose both. But that also tells the storey that racing with the WoO is profitable enough to do it even when he is ticked.

If he were honestly and completely ticked 15 would stay in the center of your country.

On the other hand, his revenge might be to continue taking the huge amount of cash from the WoO that he has been over the last several years with the #15 car! He's still laughing all the way to the bank!

I've been going to races fo oer 30 years, haven't bought a shirt in ten...problem solved

If you remember correctly, Stewart's car (Bass Pro Shops #20 with Paul McMahan driving) ran both NST and WoO events in 2006. Tony was just a Cup driver at the time, not an owner, so his worth has gone up significantly since then. Should he start another series over t-shirt sales? No. Should the Outlaws have been able to come to an agreement/compromise with a driver who has supported the series as an owner since 2001? Yes. I doubt Tony will stick to his "no Outlaw show" stance for the year, either. He just won't announce that he's going to run and let the track/series promote his appearance if they won't let him sell shirts.
