The Wild Child is probably the best I've heard.

I've heard from a few people that he hates that name.

It's the best nickname in racing. His nickname could be a lot worse.  What rhymes with Scotty?  Maybe "Stomp and Steer" isn't so bad after all. Anybody who has seen Scotty race knows he is on the gas like Danny "on the gas" Ongias.

Never been a big fan of nicknames but sometimes they do fit. Some of the nicknames make the guy sound like he is the greatest thing going. When he is hot they seem ok but when he is struggling they really are out of place. I am much more in favor of the race car having a name such as "Old Yeller: The Black Duece" or the Tamale Wagon". Why is it we don't hear that anymore.

Ahhhh yes, Super Chuck loves the cars that had names.  The Tamale Wagon, The Brickmobile, The Banana Wagon....problem is nowadays we just have "The Speedway Motors Catalog Page 18".

More so in years past, but many racecars had there own nicknames. NO, NOT NASCRAP either. There cars and drivers are both boring as h*ll anymore. They wonder why the stands are empty. We wonder why Tony Stewart, Jr., and maybe more have left. It wasn't fun anymore........
