Schatz making his case as the best ever. Totally dominant performance.

First off.....sandbagging within 2-3 tenths of a second in time trials to secure a certain spot in the heats regarding an invert from a random order in qualifying?  Ridiculous! Can't be done!

Second....No organization is going to ever allow a format that even resembles making it tougher for their stars to run up front. Especially the WoO!

I like your ideas of racing their way in. I've wondered about double heats, also. But again, they arent going to increase the number of outsiders that win WoO Features by giving them any more of a chance than they have right now. They like to brag about how many win one from time to time (making the total number of winners look good), and the WoO drivers and team owners like it that way, too.

I was just quoting the other guy about sandbagging. I totally agree with you, no way to sandbag tenths or even hundredths of seconds.
i'm just not  a fan of time trilas

You're just adding costs at that point. Double heats, more laps on the motors, more laps on the track leading to rubber down.

Yep. I heard that answer when I made this suggestion before. I'm sure it makes sense from a team owner standpoint.
I'm just speaking from my standpoint as a fan

Christopher Bell is the second coming of Kyle Larson, he's that impressive.  Non-Outlaws take 4 of the top 6 spots, hello PA...

"2nd coming" of a 24 yr. old.... thats rich

Bell is damn good, but not in Larson's league

lets put them out there for a full year and see how they do. look how long it took donnie to get where he is at. i like larson and bell but they are doing 1 offs, a whole year makes a champion not just a few races beating the best in the business.

do not get me wrong maybe in a whole year they wuld totaly kick ass but i doubt it, who has had the most wins the last few years?

could either of them show up at 30 different races thru out the year and win all of them, hell no. donnie has gotten where he is by racing for what 20 years now and not selling his soul to go make the mega a millions,

like i said i cheer for larso and bell because they are old sprint car drivers buut in no way in a whole year on tour right now would they totally kick everybody's ass/

well enjoy him, Bell, while you can. If a nascrap team doesn't pick this guy up soon i am going to be shocked. I'm saying more races scheduled. I no he runs trucks, but i think your going to see him move up the ladder real fast. A lot of nascrap guys are over there prime in the top rides and some may be looking to retire. I think a few surprises are out there. Bell has been driving the top equipment for some time in many different classes and the guy gets it to the front. Smith had a great run, it just shows give a driver a car and magic can happen. Impressive runs by both.

jerky boy, Your logic is so wrong it's funny.  You make it sound like these 2 drivers just got lucky in their one of's.  Have you watched either of these two guys race recently?  No matter what they climb in, such as NASCAR, NASCAR Trucks, 360Sprints, 410 Sprints, USAC Midgets, they get to the front and that's against most of the best in the business.  Time for your wake up call, to steal from the golf world, "THESE GUYS ARE GOOD"...

PS  Nobody has said they would win every race, but they would dominate from what I have watched the past month or so...

The 15 is good but Bell was the only one driving the track right. Its the big 1 on most WoO nights in 2017.  Eldora is aging better than our old heroes.  Bell proved it this weekend.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

"How do you eliminate sand bagging?"

Easy, eliminate Time Trials

I know this will upset traditionalists, but random draw for heats, race your way in. They could even reverse starting positions & run heats back again, cumulative best finishes determine A-Main lineup

Time Trials are boring to me, other than as a way to learn who's driving what.... let 'em race!

Bingo.

Been saying this for years.  Draw for starting spots in heats.  Run em.  When heat 4 or 5 is done, heat 1 comes back out inverted from the previous starting positions.  (not finishing positions)

Points based on finish position and passing points.  No dash, just do an invert draw as usual for the starting spots in the A.

Qualifying with heat inverts is meaningless for a one-night show.  It works great for the Knoxville Nationals.  If they turned the King's Royal into the same type of format, I would be fine.  I think the WOO actually gets it right for its normal shows---qualifying actually means something.  It's just a waste of time otherwise.

That being said, I still love to watch winged sprints and will deal with the format they put in front of me.  Smile

TT's are boring but it's still the fairest way to line up the heats. I don't like that a bad draw can put you behind the 8 ball from the get go. I'd rather they just give them a few extra laps in hot laps and use their fastsest lap from there as their time. Then for the main(s), line them up from heat race finish instead of reverting back to TT result.

they are good never said they were not, just watched the video, bell was do doing nothing that schatz was not doing they way it lookd to me, yes he started 20th. seems to be a few years back schatz started 21st at knoxville and everoe wrote him off. when he get out front in the big money races he does what he has to do and nothing more to stay there, i was happy forr johnson last year at k-ville his will and magic put hi in the position to win, i thing he surprised the shit out of donny. yes larson and bell are good in whatever they strap into. but how would they do for a full season with the woo. we will never know unfortantly(how ever the hell ya spell it) wish they would stick with their roots but money talks bullshit walks that is why they are where they are, i am not bashing them at all, like both of them just wish bell was in a bow tie. hopefully bell makes knoxville it will be 1 hell of a show no matter what.
