Its like being called up from the minors. Im sure any young kid would jump if called but they decide to go older. I guess Kinser is the next phone call

Jac is a temporary fix. Macedo would be great, but that's a lot of money to spend waiting on a kid to get experience.

As did the SJWR team.
|
I was there the night Kyle won tensions were high after that victory. Must say you can't really gage Kyle's victory to Joeys lack of any Wins.Larson is just a breed of his own...
Knowing what I have heard is that the ride was in fact offered to one of the top 5 Outlaw points leader. Understanding that one of the Crew chiefs is an ABSOLUTE loose cannon. People are always listening and watching. People see your actions!!
To see the leopard hasn't lost his spots. Teams are willing to grab your driver and have lots to offer them...... If I were the owner of team protect your investment [(driver)]
Being a Saldana fan for 20+ Years it saddens me and hopes that the Bullet can claim his 100th outlaw victory. When you come to Town Joey, dad and I will still be one if your biggest fans!!! Maybe you will have some time now to help your boy race! #littlebullet

I hope this is a blessing in disguise for Saldana. Hopefully he can get a ride w the All stars and dominate or something like that.

I know Joey has lots of fans but he really hasn't performed well this season. I think the writing was on the wall with this one. Just ain't as good as he once was. I do hope he gets that 100th win, otherwise he'll have nightmares of the National Open last year forever. Also, I'd like to add I'm very happy Jac gets to run this weekend with WoO. Bummed I won't get to see him at Atomic but great for him to get to run a couple of shows with WoO.

Wow, Kyle Larson got Saldana fired? Guess Shane Stewart better watch out too. No wonder his elbows come flying up whenever Larson is around him.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

Joey Saldana got Joey Saldana fired...or some variation of that. The team decided instead of letting crew chief or another factor go that it was Joey. Kyle simply played the role of reaper if you will. He apparently gave Ricky the info he needed by winning in a backup J&J car after the team made a chassis switch for Joey. Sucks for all involved it didn't work out but these things happen. I'm pretty sure they'd all much rather be having success and not have to go down this path. Maybe Joey agreed or gave input that it wasn't working for him either.

Joey is never a contender with chev power. Too bad the TSR chev boys' Ford is just a ghost. Someone needs to find some mopar crumbs, call Joey and contend for a title instead of trying to run with Kyle Larson with identicle equipment. It aint gonna happen. Just ask all the guys that tried doing it with Karl Kinser around for about 30 years. We will tinker with every variable under the moon except for our precious sbc.

Jac sets quick time tonight @ West Liberty. Not bad for the first time sitting in the car.

Mindless speaks once again....I am a BIG ford fan, but this guy has taken all the glamour out of wanting a ford to do anything for me most time's. Bummer. Give me a California hot shoe who is not afraid a rough track any day over a supposed. "Veteran or seasoned racer" lol. Just saying and more are coming by the way and not in small amounts either! Hell yeah!
Where's my beer or scotch on the rocks? God-damn it! 40
plus years of dirt track racing in these old veins might
get me condemned by the EPA.

Haha I'm honestly surprised it took to Page 3 of this thread for the Ford Bandit to chime in...

I wish mama would have gotten me out of bed last week when the only two Fords at Williams Grove dominated warm ups, time trials and the race till the tires came apart. Maybe all the other guys had offys or mopars.

I love joey, haud, sammy etc as much as anyone but lets try to find some new talent. Put Logan Wagner in it.

Jac gets fast time, in a car that Joey was having difficulty with. Says a lot.

True but the main event finish was pretty much the same 16th.
