I just wonder why it seems that Fairboards that have a racetack on them, have board members with their heads in their asses, when it comes to promoting, and or making improvements to the track to make them more fan friendly. The Kenosha County Fair Board (Wilmot, WI) seems to have the same problems, despite people being told that the 'new blood' will be beneficial to the track. The place has not been updated except for a nice berming of the infield around the inside of the turns, and some drainage fixes, since it was built in the very early 70's.Most, if not all of these people are Farmers and have NO clue as to how to run a track. JMHO We have been getting top notch programs to run, the All Stars, the Outlaws, etc, but the weekly shows pull in atrocious numbers of fans. I hate to see it....

Seems like you answered it yourself. They're farmers or whatever (real estate interests?) & not race fans
Not their priority....

Wow, you guys are all really "jonesing" for some racing!
I just wait until the schedules come out.....
Its like kids bugging their parents about how many days until Christmas... doesn't make it come any sooner!

The schedule on the front page isn't every date. There should be another 10-15 dates we find out when the schedule is released. Fremont, I-96 and other tracks that have a date most years may be on the official schedule released next week.

Quite frankly there are a bunch of dumb asses on the Clay County Fair board! I'm not going to mention names, but an offer was made by a person with the means to run a Sunday night sprint car program, that had the potential to run a Badlands, Jackson and Clay County series as a real opportunity to have three good purses, close enough together to make it real interesting for drivers, teams and fans. The CC Fairboard woudn't even discuss it. The party making the proposal would have covered all expenses and track upkeep. As it is now, the CCF has a non sprint car series that runs during the summer and they can't get more than 300-400 people in a grandstand that holds about 6,000. This part of Iowa is sprint car country as far as the fans are concerned! There is a great race track facility here not being used, and a Fairboard with their heads in their asses!

Really? Who would that be? Seems to me you have some facts slightly out of context.

Deleted the dates for Badlands Speedway. Wonder if WoO will find a way to fill those dates?

Looks like almost 100 dates if you include the TBAs. Very strong.

I thought, being last minute espeically, the WoO - IRA co-sanction at Angell Park was a good event last year (esp since it was during Corn Fest). Thought they'd try to work Angell Park back in during their trip to WI, even if it was during Corn Fest. Cool to see them at that track.

It would be nice if they could get one of the dates on July 1 & 2 which will probably open up.
Angell Park is a great place to watch sprint car racing.
