Dude are you serious? Who the fuck am I kidding, of course you are. Susky has been greatly improved but if you think for one second that the facility is even in the ballpark with Williams Grove or Lincoln, you're flat out wrong. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a fact. It's way better than it was and I enjoyed the show Sunday, not because of the new seats and the newly renovated pissers, but because the racing on the track was outstanding which HAS NOT changed. The racing at Susky was always great. They had a great crowd which had just as much to do with people wanting to see a race before the weekend was over as it did with their curiosity to see what all they did with the place. Like I've said a thousand times, if you want Lincoln or Williams Grove to make improvements, write them a damn check and make it happen but you would never do that because all you do is set up a table and stand beside it 3 or 4 times a season and post your stupid bullshit on this messageboard and somehow rationalize that in your mind as doing something. All you do is bitch and moan and tell all these racetracks how to spend their money. The funny thing is, if Scott Gobrecht comes out next time and tells you to pony up a vendor fee to set up your stupid table like Lincoln and Williams Grove so wisely did many years ago, you would find all kinds of stuff about Susky to nit pick at. The really funny thing is, you point to a big crowd at ONE RACE as proof that Lincoln, Williams Grove and every other track that told you to take a hike with your imaginary fan club should do what Susky did (because they were all your ideas right?) and fix shit up to meet your idiotic standards yet were you at Lincoln (yes the same Lincoln that you think needs all these improvements) on opening day? Of course not because if you were, you'd know their crowd for the Ice Breaker was gigantic.....MUCH bigger than what Susky had the other night and guess what? A lot of those fans were females!

Man, this stuff is a riot. Between Altman, the two year-old who posts as Atlman, and you Pennsylvania homers who blow your stacks over every little post from him - great entertainment!

stop acting like 10 year olds. This is a embarrassment to me as a PA resident everytime I get on here.

YOUR RIGHT SIR . ITS NOT ME , ITS MY CRITICS WHO CONTINUE THIS . You see they have no idea who , what I stand for ,this is there fun . I am falsely accused for things I don't do , just have nothing but the well being of all concerned in racing , especially the fans . I have spent countless dollars on giveaways , t-shirts, money prizes , sponsorships , organizing contingency awards , doing autograph sessions and more for everyone to enjoy , I did these things because I enjoyed doing them not for any accolades or monetarial gains .

You people attacking do not know the many things , the horrible things I do in the back alleys and the street corners for you , the Great Fans of our Great Sport. I am not one bit bitter about being tossed out of certain tracks I attack constantly on this board and many others. It is pure coincidence that I only enjoy the racing and the bathroom stalls of the tracks that allow me to spread the good message of my fanclub for you , the Great Fans of our Great Sport. Thank you for our opinions of me.

Very funny , but ignorant and very childish .

When I read the post I honestly couldn't tell if it was Altman or his "alter ego" Atlman...not sure if that's a compliment to the guy running the fake Atlman or a pseudo negative comment about Altman...

That's the funniest thing you have ever posted. Every keystroke you make is for the accolades.
Why do you keep asking what fans want besides good racing? You have asked at least 100 times and you always get the same answer, nothing. Most dirt track fans expect crappy seating, less than ideal restrooms, and subpar food as part of the dirt track experience. When we get lucky enough to have someone step up and make improvements we all apreciate it and enjoy it. Improvements or the lack of improvements has little to do with which track we choose to attend.
So what is it you really want to know, because you got your answer to what people want from a dirt track.

Exactly. Totally true! Nobody, male or female, that I have taken to their first race has every complained about the restrooms, bleachers, music played between races or anything else as long as the racing was good. None have EVER said they liked the racing but would not go back because of the facilities!
They were all smart enough to know the local dirt tracks are not multi billion dollar businesses like the NFL so they accept that the stands, restrooms etc will not be like those at an NFL stadium.

The funkier, the better, IMHO....
Up to a point... still haven't seen facilities that would stop me
I'd just as soon go in the woods anyway (last bastion of male privilege?)

Obviously you people are satisfied as is , ok I get it . But we have a new era, a new class of fan to think of . We are not going to be here forever , what about creating new fans for tomorrow ? I guess your not creative enough to realize that are you ? But then most tracks are not creative enough , yes good racing should come first , that is what got me hooked at the age of 17 and hanging out with alot of drivers who lived close . YES , I get it, racing is all that matters to you guys and girls on this message board . It was never my intent to sway you , just express my views and read yours . I am glad this provides entertainment , so I guess most of you live like slobs or don't care , WELL I DO AND I CARE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF RACING IN PA .

You don't get it.
Let's say Mark & Bob are each going to take a friend that has never been to a race before to their first race.
Mark takes his friend to a real nice facility. New, clean restrooms, nice bleachers with back rests and real good food. But the racing is pretty much all follow the leader all night and kind of boring.
Bob takes his friend to an old track with board bleachers without back reasts, decent but not good food and run down reastrooms. But the racing is great. Lots of passing and excitement.
Who's friend is more likely to want to go to another race and may become that "new fan" that you want, Robert?
I say Bob's friend will be. What do you think?
That's why we think it is the racing that will hook new fans more than anything else. Not because we are slobs!

so.....devils advocate here..
Does a new fan know a good races from a bad one? i find the challenge for a new fan is understanding hot laps, time trials, heats, dash, features..there is so much going on for a first time fan...most don't come come back for Watever reason..
amenities certainly come into play...don't fool yourself....but what we got in PA is functional....
as a race fan...id be happy with a good race and decent facilities. I'm there for the race...but there is a whole new class of folks out there these days...
i don't know the answer...but the fan support is there....just look at the attendance at speed week races ect....
done rambling .....

Ok great, so now you know the "old" fans on this message board dont care about the facility, so you can stop fishing for info here, please go find these new fans that require nice shitters and free t shirts somewhere else, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE DONT ASK WHAT FANS WANT FOR THE 101ST TIME ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD, PLEASE DONT ROBERT!
Maybe you can start your own website/forum called hoseheads for newbies, there you can discuss all your favorite topics like: "The Woo needs to do more for the fans or Port and Susky are great and I heloed

Oops , Port and Susky are great and I helped, or your all time favorite " It's about time......" where you drop a hint but infact it's a back handed swipe at the tracks u don't like.
So glad we got this worked out, Robert you now finally understand you are preeching to the wrong fans, go find the new harder to please fan and help them, because frankly we don't want your help, have a good one.

Robert I know you'll find this hard to believe, but I took a new fan to Williams Grove last season and he loved it. The poor quality of the food, pissers, length of grass in the parking lot and lack of prize giveaways didn't bother him one bit. This guy goes to 30-40 MLB games a year so he is used to pro sports amenities and he still had a blast at his first sprint car race. He was into it from hot laps, and both the 410 and 358 features had passing and side by side racing that he thought was awesome. If you're worried that the track food sucks stop on your way to the track and grab something. Take a shit at home before you get to the track so you don't have to worry about it once you get there. You are so hung up on trying to create a business opportunity for yourself here in "improving the experience for us the fans" that you don't realize that nobody cares. Some of the best races I have ever seen were at total shit holes like Path Valley or Clinton County. You need a hobby man seriously.
