I guess the bottom line in all of this discussion is the well being of Laurie and getting her back as soon as possible. The extent of her injuries should come from someone that she chooses and not from the he said, she said stories going around. I only know that she is looking at a lot of rehab before she is back to being the Boss at Huntington Beach Glass.

I did hear that there was an EMT at the track Thurs night, not sure if he was there as a employee or what. Bet you can't guess what he was doing at the time of the accident.

Driving the push truck. They said he was so upset that he was no help.

Get well soon my friend.

Rumors always run in situations like things. Most of the things posted are untrue or partially true. As has been stated in this thread, we all need to be concerned with Laurie and her health/recovery, not what happened. This is a woman that has lived Sprint Car racing for all of her adult life.

What I will post is that Laurie has some severe injuries. Her recovery is going to take a LONG time. Tom has been by her side since the injury occurred. As I have been posting on Facebook, she is stable at this point. We are tackling her injuries oen at a time. Her ankles and shin have been repaired. She is scheduled for an additional surgery tomorrow, but I will give details on this when I am told to do so.

Laurie is being given a few pints of blood to help build her numbers for minerals, hemoglobin, etc. She and Tom have asked that I ask that if anyone wants to do anything for her, she would like blood donated in her name through the Red Cross of America.

Laurie is stable and continues to fight. She is a strong lady. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Jim Powers, Moose Racing
