When the 360 Nationals were formed 15 to 20 years ago, you had to participate in a percentage of 360 racing and then ok'd to run in the 360 Nationals. These racers were then just 360 racers, now it has been opened up to any rich 410 race team to just purchase a $30.000 motor and run for the championship. Is that fair?

running it and winning it is a whole different deal.

how many 410 teams that have done that have won the 360 nats?

how many 410 drivers who just show up and run the 360 nats have ever won it?

to indy and beyond!!

my thoughts are that with the 360 Knoxville nationals , drivers such as Swindell and others who normally race 410 and or world of outlaws should not be allowed to run in the 360 nationals ,this is the 360's chance to shine and many of the teams do not have the funding to compete against the bigger names and teams !

then why let 360 drivers run the 410 nats?

by your theory the 360 drivers are lower class, so why should they be allowed to run with the upper class guys?

also if a 360 guy won the 410 nats would you ban him from the 360 nats in the future? i mean if they can beat the 410 regulars then why should they be allowed to run against the 360 guys?

you are walking a thin line when you start banning competent drivers from racing.

who makes the decision of who gets to race and who doesn't? is it just based off of woo drivers? what about a guy who runs a taditional outlaw schedule and runs both types of engines during the season?

a sprint car driver is a SPRINT CAR DRIVER. period.

just my 2 cents plus change.

to indy and beyond!!

You do know that on the website there is an Events link that has all kinds of info, including history... right? The 410 drivers that ran the 360 Nationals and won have been: Lasoski ('95), McCarl ('96, '01, and '09), DMJ ('99 and '03), Alley ('04 & '05), and Giannetto ('06). McCarl has swept the night twice ('01 and '09) and DMJ has once ('99). You could also maybe claim Jeff Swindell as a 410 driver, but I don't think he was really driving either when he came out of semi-retirement to win in '02.

The 410s have just as many restrictions as the 360s...no big deal either way. The best of the best should be in true outlaw cars....not in stuff cruising around at 15 year old lap times on a rail. Haud wouldn't be at home most of the time if you still had to have some nads to stand on the gas.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I believe that the cars work different with a variable in the power. much like Nascar drivers running nationwide, and sprint cup. It takes talent to be in a car with a different power plant and this is proven by the fact that 410 drivers are beaten by 360 drivers in 360 races. If 410 drivers were just simply better drivers, the 410 drivers would always win the 360 shows that they entered.
