The original poster made an observation about the driving skill of an up and coming young driver. Some of the comments that followed have more or less said that it is not skill it is because of his name or he is cheating. By discounting someone else's skill or ability, it gives them a sense of power. Our society has a name for this. Is it so hard to give someone some credit and give them a sense of encouragement? I believe it is for some people because they don't want to appear weak. In some societies when a nail rises above the rest it is pounded back down. In others, it is every nail for themselves to rise above the rest. Which is you?

You just like the attention you get from getting a rise out of people on here. And I'm guessing (now that I know you race go karts) that you need the attention online since you probably don't get it in victory lane.

I could be wrong but how does starting last in a local B-main and winning it with 10 cars in it make you a "Gasser". I am not saying he's not fast but you could use a better reason then winning a B-main for your reason.

They disallowed his quick time, so he had to start tail on the heat, 10 cars and a difficult cushion with dry slick in the middle. The young man went right to the high side and gassed the shit out of it and was running fourth in a lap, and then spun going for third, went to the tail and then passed several cars, on the high side again WIDE open before the checkered fell. He didn't make it back up to a top 4 for a transfer, so he had to start the tail of the B, since he had no qualifying time, and in a matter or two laps was leading the 10 car event, again on the high side.
I've been to Eldora for 40 years, and was the track photo for several years, and I've seen guys race there for 10 or more years never run laps the way this young man ran laps in only his second visit. The fact he's being accused of cheating is reprehensible, and so typical of the toxic nature of this board. Even if his engine was illegal, he still had to gas the shit out of it and put it up on the fence like he did, I'm telling you it was very, very impressive and this young man made me a fan in a matter of laps.
Those of you with a personal agenda against Haud, keep it there and don't let it bleed over to his 17 year old son.

Nothing against sheldon but you dont travel 3 hours to finish 10th and refuse tech. I know he didnt have an appoved ASCS 360 in that car. He is a very aggressive driver and and not scared to run. Nothing against sheldon is will be a great driver just like Jac. i know he went there hoping not to be teched now he is marked for any NRA/SOD race which sucks for him. Not saying it wasnt a 360 just saying it wasnt approved ASCS360.

Sorry I don't race go carts don't go to go cart races or care bout them except there probably a good place for future drivers to start in ,,I don't care much for getting a rise out of anyone you or other posters , Jac is 1 of the most exciting drivers of all time and probably the coolest guy you could ever meet ,,some idiot shouldn't be allowed to call him a sell out every time his name is brought up ,,but everyone is entitled an opinion no matter how little they know ,,have a nice day

No offense crazyd but I think you're mistaken. That is the exact same motor that Sheldon ran all of last year with the NRA at Limaland and there's never been any issue with it.
If you want my honest opinion, I think the whole motor pumping and DQ stems more from the parties involved than anything else. Jac had his daughters graduation on Sunday so he let Sheldon go racing with a couple of his friends... they felt they were getting picked on by NRA guys all night and I think it came to a situation where neither party was going to step down. They wanted to pump his motor and the kids said enough is enough.
But seriously, I'm not sure why this whole thing got so much attention on here. I mean we're talking about a 12th place finish or something. Its not like he won the race and refused the tear down.
On an unrelated note, I'd like to say what a good race it was overall on Sunday. Those 360's put on one of the best shows of any car at Eldora. Every race last year was good and it was another dandy on Sunday. It was awesome seeing the cars riding the rail around the top and banging off the wall again. Seems like they had gotten away from that the past few years.

I understand what you are saying it is just a shame because all it caused was someone else to miss the A that would of accepted the tech. I know is qualifing time was taken away because of his front wing having a wicker which i think was crap because they should of teched the car or at least said something to him.. the front wicker would not have changed his time much if at all. he was called for spec beacuse of a protest from who not sure but just a shame for that 1 car that missed that extra 100 dollars for making the A. Alot of teams need that 100 dollars.Sheldon is a great driver nothing against him. The track was fun.

This is NOT the motor that he is selling. The motor he is selling is a Bob Hampshire Engine. He was running a Kistler Engine Sunday. proven fact is, Kistler has gotten drivers into trouble before at Eldora (Ollies 360 race). Hopefully this isnt the case this time. It is kinda silly though that after passing all those cars in both the heat and feature, he "spun out" and went to the tail and came back up through the field. I think he was more of trying to make a statement than to win the race

Pretty sure my statements are fact.
1. The motor sheldon is running is not the one hes selling.
2. Kistler has gotten into trouble in years past with 360 motors at Eldora. Ollies 360 challenge in 2008.

I never said that was a fact. I, as well as many others, believe this. What would have happened if he would have won? Would he have let them tech it? Just because you finish 12th does not mean you werent fast enough to be teched. For all he knows, there could have been a random draw for tech. If he was legal, he would have let them prove themselves wrong. And he would have been able to get his pay money. but whatever, its done and over with.
