Rahmer, Dewease, Hodnett, Mark Smith, Stevie Smith, Esh, Leppo, Layton, Kreitz Jr., Pittman, Shaffer, and Kauffman have all beat the Outlaws. The only person on the Golden State tour to accomplish that is Brent Kaeding. Out of 21 GS races last year, a man named Kaeding or Walker won 17 of those. Others were Hirst(2), Larson and Allard with one a piece.
Chad Kemenah is a previous Outlaw winner as well, whats your point? If he can do it, why can't the reigning King of California even finish in the top 15?
Better throw out the lifeboat, looks like your the one with the "holding water" problem.

while it may be true that all those names you state have beaten the outlaws (i am taking your word for it since most of those names are not known to many people 50 miles from williams grove), most of them have done it at ONE track and couldn't race their way out of a paper bag against them any where else. and when you say a man named kaeding was reponsible for helping to win a majority of the races on the GSC last year, you need to correct that to THREE men named kaeding. oh, since you brought up the name kaeding in saying brent was the ONLY one on the GSC tour that had beat the outlaws you can add tim kaeding and jason statler to that list as well as brad furr and i believe tyler himself. and those three kaedings that you have rolled into one represent a hall of famer, the last three silver crown champions and a guy tied for the winningest sprint car driver on a national level (15 wins) in 2006. so we are not talking about a bunch of one track wonders. while it is just a matter of the way things are that there is more racing that pays more money in PA than CA that makes it more attractive for the PA guys to stay around home, the cali boys hold their own all over the country in all forms of racing. even in what most of you call nascrap, cali drivers have shown to be able to rise to the top. cali has no lose for racers who want to race. the chili bowl this past year was close to 40% cali drivers. so you can rattle off your list of 20 year old PA names that have beaten the outlaws at what amounts to one track. and throw in other names that just happen to have raced in PA. there are more up and coming cali drivers to invade the nation while your PA guys cherry pick at home. if i remember correctly, at last years gold cup, 5 of the first 10 cars at the finish of the A main were cali cars or drivers. yeah, i know a cali car or driver didn't win, but they were 2 of the top 4. this PA against the rest thing keeps going on, but the fact is the PA guys are a nice little group of local racers. period.

Lots of people taking the bait and getting reeled into the boat as usual in this thread, IMO.

And don't forget Brad Sweet, Robert Ballou (won @ Gas City last night), Darren Clayton, Thomas Meseraul, Nic Faas, Cole Whitt, Darren Hagen and (at the risk of dating myself) Gary Patterson, Johnny Anderson, Leroy Van Connett, Chuck Gurney, Nick Rescino, Howard Kaeding (there's that name again), Marshall, Mike and Mark Sargent, Al Pombo and many more. Tyler Walker will be just fine in PA as will open wheel racing in the Golden State (also known as the land of fruits and nuts).

that's all you got? you can cut bait or fish. what's it gonna be?
here is something i thought was interesting from another thread:
Wanted to give a tip of the hat to a couple of our ol' Nor Cal buddies who both had pretty good nights on Friday.
Kyle Hirst won his heat race and finished 7th in the A-main last night with the Lucas Oil ASCS National tour at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas. Tonight the series moves on to Little Rock, Arkansas which is more of a California style track so best of luck to Kyle, Lee Watson and the boys and hoping for another strong night.
Robert Ballou won his heat race and captured the main event victory at Gas City I-69 Speedway in Indiana last night over Scotty Weir, Thomas Meseraull, Brandon Petty, Dave Darland and Shane Cottle.
Also noticed on Hoseheads that Chad Boespflug, who I remember watching run the Bandits & SCRA 360's in Central, CA when GSC would go to Hanford and Tulare a handful of years ago, finished second in the main event to Brady Short at Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, Indiana last night.
GT Promotions
http://www.mbracingteam.com/Gary_Thomas.html it seems that while the folks in PA enjoy their local racers, the nation gets to enjoy ours. a little of topic, but in two of the most popular national motorsports series cali drivers sit on the pole this week. nascar sprint cup a.j. allmendinger (actually the front row of the cup race is cali drivers with scott speed 2nd) and NHRA funny car john force.(the top 4 funny car drivers so far this week are from cali) by the way the last 4 cup championships have come to a native californian. now you may cry foul saying that is off topic since that is not sprint car related, but his team mate who also has 4 cup championships started out running SPRINT CARS in CALIFORNIA. so the two active cup drivers with the most combined championships in cup history are from cali. the only reason i say that is because i can! does that smell like bait to you?

lol that was when the outlaws were outlaws, not watered down with a bunch of cookie cutter rules. i have to say i have met quite a few of the PA guys and they are a nice bunch of guys just as most racers are.

Is this sprint car team gang wars....East Coast vs. West Coast....I mean does it really matter where there are more talented drivers....in Cali or in Pennsylvania? Feel lucky that you have good drivers to go watch...Some states do not even have any sprint car series to go to....I have never seen a message board with so many grumpy old men who fight over more ridiculous things in my entire life...Its actually pretty amusing but it just gets old...Sounds like some of you guys need to get a hobby or a girlfriend and relieve some stress...

you seem to be new here, at least by your name registration date. welcome. every now and then there are PA people that pipe up on a thread to state their drivers superiority over the rest. then the reality of the situation needs to be explained to them. in the over all scheme of things there are a lot of big fish swimming in a small pond in PA. that tends to boost the egos of some of the PA fans. actually there are some very fine drivers that come from all over the nation. but since some PA fans are oblivious to the rest of the nation, they have a hard time accepting things like that. but it is only some of the posse fans.

There are so many drivers that had alot more success from Ohio and Indiana and its strange how you don't have people on here spouting off about how great there drivers are and how nobody comes into their backyard and can compete.Must just be a central PA. thing? Thats because the drivers from other parts move on to the next level and the Posse stays home for the weakly racing. With the exception of Lucas Wolfe who is atleast attempting at moving up.

I must admit I am dissapointed in Tyler Walker for saying some not very nice things about racing here in CA but he is a really talented driver! I have heard that he is not doing well in PA but it was due to car problems and not driver error! I am sure he will start racing better when they get the problems fixed. I do miss watching him race in the 24 car and it's too bad his sponser isn't racing anymore, but I really enjoy watching the rest of our CA racers too
CA and PA have very different sprint car scenes and it is really hard to compare! California has mostly "bullring" 1/4 mile tracks while PA has many 1/2 mile tracks. Both places have very talented drivers and great racing and of course great fans! We have had many talented drivers get their start here in CA and have done really well for themself. I have followed Jason Meyers since he started racing here locally and with the GSC and now he is one of the best drivers in the country and leading the points standings with another win tonight!
Tarah as a fellow female sprint car fan myself I am dissapointed in your lack of knowledge of sprint car racing outside of PA! We would love you to come here sometime and see a race I have been to Lernerville (I know not a PA Posse track) but I really had a great time and thought it was an awesome track!
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Didn't Rahmer just go out to CA earlier this year and finish 3rd in a WOO race on a bullring he's never seen before, beating every local CA car on their home turf? Just sayin'.

yes he did do that. with a King of California as his crew chief for those races. think the guy playing crew chief for Freddie during that good run at Tulare was a guy named Brent Kaeding. both regions have good drivers. but this is an entertaining thread!

You have no idea how stupid you really are. It's obvious you've never watched the racing in California but besides that you don't sound like much of a knowledgable fan "anywhere". I am assuming your just some niave broad who likes to shoot her mouth off so I will give you a pass just this once on your dipshit comments. I suggest in the future that you study up before you get a half brained notion to "express yourself", cause there are lots and lots of us who read these forums who are laughing directly at your ignorance.
Oh and fyi lil girl the fruits and nuts drivers who have beat the outlaws goes like this: Brent Kaeding, Tim Kaeding, Jason Statler, Brad Furr, Jason Meyers, Tyler Walker, Jon Allard, Paul McMahan, Randy Hannigan just to name the ones that are still racing. Ever heard of a guy named Jimmy Sills or how about Tim Green? I realize by your earlier posts that facts are something you have a tough time coming to terms with so I won't be surprised if you simply "don't get it" and you keep up your misinformation like a niave slackjawed yocal. Oh well...

California is rich in sprint car and Indy 500 history. Hard to compare our legends with the PA. group! Lets put forth some legends from the Golden State with some more big nuts, shall we? Billy Vukovich, Parnelli Jones, George Snider (still active as a car owner for the grandson of Al Pombo), San Jose's legend Joe Leonard - how about Jim Hurtibese (cut his teeth in sprint cars in southern California) and all of the legends from Ascot Park. PA. has some great drivers and fans, but you can't even begin to compare them (drivers) to our boys! Good for you Henry - someone who obviously does a very poor job of representing her home state and knows very little about the world of dirt track racing.

The level of competition is a measurably higher in Central Pennsylvania then "the land of fruits and nuts". Not bashing, just stating fact. There are between nine and twelve other former WoO winners racing at Williams Grove on any given night. A little tougher then just trying to outrun the Kaeding family.
|
Read this again real slowly. Three statements, all facts! Whether you like it or not, Central Pennsylvania has the toughest competition, bar none. Fact, 9-12 former WoO winners compete weekly at Williams Grove. I never said they were all born and raised in Pa., nor do I care where they're from. Fact, beating the group of racers assembled at the Grove is tougher then beating the Kaeding family. Never once did I say he had to beat just one Kaeding. Remember the 17 for 21 FACT ! My God, some of you are blinded by emotion.
Please feel free to continue to tell me about Jimmy Sills, Tim Green , Gary Patterson, NASCAR drivers, and Indy car drivers. Your grasping for something relevant, if nothing else, is entertaining! What about all the great drag racers and surfers? LOL!
One last think to burst your bubbles. I'm not from Pennsylvania, and I'm a huge Tyler Walker fan. Thanks for playing!

Speaking of "fruits and nuts" how is ol Allan Spincster doing?
We are proud of the Kaeding family.
Jonathan Allard. Andy Forsberg. Jason Statler...and a whole bunch more.
Posse has good cars and drivers.
How about we leave it at that.
You can have TW. Our "gift" to you, okay!
