I am not a tire expert so I won't pretend to be but it sounds like somebody at Goodyear needs to go dumpster diving to get the old molds back.

Exactly 77, another hosehead Mr. Knowitall, Those arent the same goodyears lol, they are new!! HAHAHA so amusing, and kraig had the medium compound tire on I have pics of the tires also on my camera. I see this as a losing argument but I had to call you out on being a total dumbass which you are. You probably cant even afford a motor that can burn your tires off you homo. Now...go back to your home track that nobody cares about and whine and bitch at someone who does care. Because anyone on here who knows anything...knows not to listen to idiots like you who sit at home and act like they know EVERYTHING. Maybe I dont know what I am talking about but at least I was at volusia speedway to witness it so....My story may hold a little more water than yours..I am now done responding to this topic. I believe he had a 200 compound tire on which is around equal to a hoosier sc-15...But hey who am I ...

If the tires were a 200, then I think that you owe Goodyear an apology. A 200 is pretty darned soft. And, if that is the case, then the track might not have been too bad. You all seek to BASH Goodyear as being the most evil, and you seem to have your mind made up that Goodyear tires suck. The only thing the molds do for the tires is to change the sizes and perhaps the sidewall stiffness. The compounds stay the same. I know about the molds. I knew about them last year. I have been through several mold changes with Hoosier. The only thing that has ever changed was the size of the tire. You all would still bash Goodyear even if every driver in the World of Outlaws started singing the praises of Goodyear, because you KNOW that they paid off the drivers to sing those praises. How do I know that you would blame Goodyear for everything under the sun? I know that because I read all throughout winter how bad Goodyear is going to be for the sport of sprint car racing. Hoosier was dominant for so many years, but now Goodyear has beat them to the punch.

It looks to me like there was a track issue. 9 times out of 10, somebody prepping the track didn't work it properly. It seems that I struck a nerve by calling out the track prep guy. Well, guess what folks, you shouldn't throw stones if you are living in a glass house. You bitch about me bitching about the track preparation, saying that I wasn't there. Well, you weren't there at the development of the Goodyear tire either. I am glad that Goodyear is changing the molds on some of their tires, the high growth models rolled out a bit small. I knew about the mold change, I was made aware of the mold change the last time I bought tires last year. I have watched the evolution of the modern Goodyear tire. The main R & D was done at the track that I race at, and it wasn't some instantaneous deal either. It was several years in the making. But you weren't there, so I guess that you are all a bunch of KNOW-IT-ALL Jackasses as well. Hmm.

And btw, I have plenty of motor.

Well, considering that the world of outlaws owns volusia speedway I HIGHLY DOUBT it was a lack of track prep, and I talked to wayne johnson and several other racers who also agreed goodyears are shotty compared to hoosiers. This isnt just bc I like hoosiers better than goodyears, I could care less. I am going by the FACTS from what I saw first hand, along with the drivers who were running them. This argument is pointless like I said before bc I could tell you all the facts and your still going to believe your own dumbass opinions. Goodyear will get it right....it will take time, and I am glad they are putting more money in racers pockets...they deserve it. Until goodyear does get it right I will not apologize to them bc an sc-15 hoosier would have held up to that track....When those goodyears got hot they started to fall apart and that was a fact...would you like pics of dollanskys tires, tmacs, lasoskis, kraigs, and about ten others....Not all the tires had the tread gone off them like kraigs but all of them had chunks gone off of them and they looked like crap.

Good. Heaven forbid you get to throw away a tire with 1/2 (or more) of the tread remaining.

Trust me, I know for a fact that the Goodyear tires that are being used in Florida were NOT, and I repeat, were NOT tested anywhewre or used by anyone other than the test at Williams Grove Speedway. Why would they have someone who doesn't race a WoO car, and who only races locally weekly, test a tire at a single track? The WoO guys who tested the tires at Williams Grove had final say on whether or not these were good tires or if Goodyear should go back and do their homework somemore and come back the following year. When the molds were made, the rubber was changed also. Those guys tested the tires on a wet, fast, tacky track and they were FAST. They loved them. Now, ALOT of the teams hate them. Teams want the Hoosiers back and I wouldn't be surprised if the teams go complaining to the officials to get out of the contract with Goodyear. This is FACT, again!

Its to early to tell. Volusia is hard on any tire. Ran a 200 on RR Thurs.& Sat.& a 100 on Sun. wore same has Hoosiers.Used 100's on LR all the Time. Some irregular wear on them. Fronts were the biggest wear problem. 3 races & there junk. flipped them every race. At a $165 a pop i expected better.SomeTires did look under cured, hopefully when they get inventory buildup tires will look better.Driver did comment car was more stable with Goodyears.
