Very impressive. How old is young Tyler Edwards?
|
Saw TJ Smith there # 11 of McCowan Motorsports very first time in the 410, usually runs the 360 Series, qualified 5th but had a night ending wreck in Heat # 2.

Tripcrwn, He is a 16 y/o. Had to wait till this year to get into a sprint. He has had some bad luck to start the year at Ventura, but is a hard charger and can drive.
Last week, he snapped an axle in hot laps. The crew, with some help from other teams crew-members, replaced the rear end and made it out for the heat race. Lost the rear brakes (pads somewhere on in the track) swapped the lead with K. Keirce a few times and won his heat. Was holding his own in the main and blew up. He finished 4th in his first ever usac midget race too.
With a little luck, Tyler will soon be in the winner circle.
Kenny

I will follow him and thanks Kenny. I knew of him last year when he ran a ford focus (is that right)?Maybe one-time soon @ the PAS or Santa Maria in a 410. I was a little surprised that the Vanderweerd (if I mispelled name I apologize) brothers weren't at Tulare. They were impressive in their 410 debut at Perris.

Kenny said it better than I could about Tyler. Nothing's more fun to watch than someone with Tyler's potential behind the wheel of a sprint car. It's easy to see the elements of control and patience he's learned from Cory. Even though we're watching a sixteen year old race we're seeing the influence of Cory's judgement and experience behind the wheel. We saw it in Jonathon, and now in Tyler.

Kind of exciting climbing out with the car hanging by the front end on a chain link fence. Nice shots. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for missing us at the race. We looked forward to racing that night in Tulare but Richard and Jace graduated from high school at 4. We were going to try but Tulare started the program an hour early so we had to pass. The boys are looking forward to the next race in Tulare and hoping to get back to Perris soon. We are racing this weekend in Santa Maria.
Thanks
The Vander Weerd's
