Assuming you will be in Wilmot and Angell Park mid-May for All-Stars? I am planning on attending at least one if not both. Can meet up and have a beer (or 12)
|
I am for sure doing angell park for the all stars. If I'm in town for WIlot I will definitely go to that as well but Stealth87 and I have been discussing some trips and I believe one of the scenarios we've discussed would put us out of town for Wilmot.

Larry, try and swing by Lernerville if you're coming through PA and Friday night is open on your schedule. Definitely worth it.

The Dude, T-Dub, J. Johnson,Tim Shaffer, Chad Kemenagh, Sam Hafertep Jr.......Were never posse to begin with........Just guys who ran posse cars for a bit.....So called posse fan and don't even know who is or isnt posse. You make the rest of us Pa fans look like fools when you say shit like this. Only reason Pittman was called posse he stuck around for more than a handful of races. Ran a few years here exclusivly.

Sorry I got all the Bashers fired up ,you all misunderstood my point I am not claiming anyone for Posse just saying I think the Posse is most likely the weakest it has ever been.
If Stevie doesnt run the 51 who for the Posse has a chance of beating the Outlaws or even the All Stars at home or especially on the road.
27 Hodnett 48 Deitrick 5W OR 24 Wolfe 69K Dewease
1z Blaney Maybe 21 Monteith
I am so much not a Posse bandwagoner that I have almost half of my scheduled races to attend on the road Western Pa., Ohio
Indiana ,Florida and Iowa.

Actually you said that was a list of drivers who WERE POSSE then left. So yes, you did claim them all as posse.

Actually Walker ran several seasons in central PA in 3 different cars - Apple 12, Keen 17 and Sorokach 35. Johnson ran a full season in the 22 and Shaffer almost a whole season in the 12. That was all quite few years ago, no recent loss.

I think outside of Lincoln which has a pretty steady in-flux of young drivers and lower budget (but competetive) cars, we're gonna see a lot of low 410 car counts. Outside of the 3 410 tracks, Speedweek counts are gonna suck. Maybe the promoters should all get together and add more races, start in Feb and go to November. That should do wonders for car counts. I care a lot less about beating the outlaws and more about the health of local racing. Back in the 80's and 90's, there were only 3-4 cars capable of beating the WOO but at least we had full fields+ for weekly shows.

Hear he's not planning on racing as of now, but if he does, Fred will have a car for him.

The problem is there are so many 410 races here in Central PA. Not a bad thing, but from February to November you can find 80 410 races if you count Bedford, big shows at Lerneville etc. It's just hard to find guys who can run that many races. Dietrich, Hodnett, Zearfoss, Wolfe, maybe a few others. But, look at low budget guys like Kyle Pruitt who can only run 15 to 20 shows a year. There are plenty of cars around.....just not enough to get 27 to 30 every single race. Lincoln has so many new young guys and mostly everyone is coming back. Wouldn't be suprised if they get 28 to 30 cars once night racing starts. Port will get there normal 24 for regular shows. But very worried about regular week Grove shows. Alot of guys like Dietz, Ott, Mark Smith, Tyler Bear, Blaney, and Starks will only run most of the Time Trial big Grove shows. Need a few more cars to fill in for the weekly shows at the Grove.

Lincoln has so much young talent coming up that it's ridiculous. Montieth is one of the older heavy hitters and he's in his early 40's with plenty of years left ahead of him. Dietrich hasn't even hit 30 yet and Krimes, Siegel, Haas etc. are all still well within their prime as well. Port's field on the other hand really concerns me. They've got a few younger guys (L.Wagner, Taylor, Cisney) but their veterans such as Hodnett, Esh, Mike Wagner, aren't done yet but they've likely got more years behind them than they do in front of them and then throw in a guy who like Erdley is a very formidable competitor but can't seem to land on his feet since Lisi sold out. I don't like where the field could end up 5 or 6 years from now because it's already pretty lean for their regular shows.

I think Port Royal will be fine.....Hodnett, Esh, Mike Wagner, Logan Wagner, Mike Wagner ll, Tyler Bear, Cisney, Buckwalter, Kody Lehman, Ryan Taylor, some Lafferty, Bowser in the #98 all year, Tyler Bear, Joey Hershey, Zearfoss, Heimbach, Ott, and Stroup should mostly be regulars. Hopefully guys like Dadetto, Grubb, and Stimeling as well.

I don't see dadetto racing next year. Hodnett already said he doesnt plan on running for points anywhere and plans to travel a little more. I'm a member of Grubbs team and we plan on running all Port shows.

You all left out Joe Kata, Ryan Linder moving to Pa to race 410s this year. Scott Geesy has a 410 together. Probably see a few more new teams in 410s this year. We will just have to wait and see. I think we will be fine. car counts are gonna be about the same as years past.

Joe Kata will be running Lincoln tho, they will have no shortage on cars.....Ryan Linder is running with the All-Stars and won't be in Central PA hardly at all. Geesey drove that B52 a few years back....they basically plan on running 7 to 8 races or until they ran out of money from what I heard.

Lincoln should have Wilt, McIntyre, Dietz, Campbell, Montieth, Haas, Siegel, Owings, some Lucas Wolfe, some Seth Kearchner, Macri, Kata, Trout, Krimes, Forsythe, Kendall, Brandon Rahmer, Freddie Rahmer, Fisher, Quackenbush, Billy Dietrich, Danny Dietrich, Moody, Ross....throw in Grasso, Baughman, Nagy, Glatfelter, Rudisill, etc. who come out later in they year and they will have plenty of cars.
