Because I'm just like most everyone else racing ASCS 360's right now. I have 3 motors. What do you want me to do with my 3 motors? They will now be obsolete, and basically worthless becuase you can't run them anywhere; so my best bet will be to take them to the local landfill and dispose of them! Now lets assume we can build this LS motor for $25k and produces 650hp. Now let me spend another $75k for the greater good of ASCS racing to get these life saving LS motors. No thanks! Like I said I'll quit and buy a lake house. I'd go 410 racing way before I'd consider starting over with LS motors. The problem even with the LS motors is they will not be tech'ed. ASCS is too lazy and doesn't understand the dynamics of a motor to tech them every night. Same scenario we have right now. This is why they opened the head rule up. Everyone was already cheating, they didn't want to tech or DQ people so lets just make it legal. LS motors will be out of hand almost immediately even if you seal them. You have made a valid observation that can apply to almost all classes and sanctioning bodies of sprints. If they plan to introduce LS engines they could pattern their attempts after what Knoxville has for rules. Your comments of cheating and lack of rules enforcement is spot on and is a major cause of cost escalation and declining car counts in sprint racing.

the ASCS regional series are taking alot of dates that were once National tour races
really hate that I-30 and ASCS had a falling out, being a sprint car fan who travels to special events across the country, me and the misses aren't gonna drive 5 hours to little rock for a weekly show or USCS, but we wouldn't miss the STN, its a major event that doesn't need any sanction, I sure wish I-30 would put at least one 410 special on their schedule, I figured since they host WoO late models, that one day they might bring the WoO sprints back to hammer hill.
USCS speacialty is putting on events at tracks that don't normanally run sprints, most fans that attend those shows wouldn't know one driver from the next, and wouldn't know the difference in a loaded field and one that's not, me personally, I'm just one of those sprint car fanatics who prefers to attend races that have a larger field of potential winners competing than what USCS provides, they have their niche, and I applaud them for bringing sprints to tracks that can't do an ASCS show.

That joke you refer to provides opportunities for alot of small teams to compete at a level similar to their own. Hmmm, sound familiar?

Piss poor schedule how...compare them to others.
All Satrs 54 nites - 2014
USAC Sprints 44 Nights - 2015
ASCS National Tour 43 nights - 2015 (47 nights in 2014)
NSL 29 nights - 2015
I've promoted my share of National Tour races at tracks around Kansas City, and broadcasted all the ASCS National Tour races for the last seven years. I have a lot of passion for the tour, so I'm always going to be quick to react when people bag on ASCS...call it loyality. With that being said, I still love all forms of open wheel racing, winged, non winged, 410, 360, 305, micros..etc! Just take a look at our website and you'll see that's the truth. I don't understand why we all don't work together to promote open wheel racing....wouldn't that be better for all??

It appears that you know a lot about ASCS and their National Tour. Please explain why one of the most successful events of the year, Cocopah was dropped from the schedule. If in fact it was a last minute decission by the track, why would they give up such a successful event?

I know the Cocopah tribe gives the track a budget each year. My guess is that budget won't allow them to do both the ASCS National Tour and the Winter Heat Showdown. The Winter Heat Showdown takes a lot of money to promote! Plus it would be real risky promoting two big sprint car events so close together. Again that's just a guess!
