I am so jealous of the fans that can get excited about everyone tiptoeing on the bottom. It's crab legs with no melted butter with no top. Ryan did great. Engine sounded the best too. Packed house all thrilled with everyone driving around like nascar at martinsville by feature time. Oh well it saves me a fortune.

Not sure what race you watched, there was at least 3 lanes all night to the last lap. Probably the best woo race in pa this year, even if Schatz would have won. Great surface all night long.

I wasn't there, but 3 leaders at a woo race sounds like a good race to me.

It was one of the best races I've seen this year.
I think Donny would have got him in another lap or 2...Did Ryan Taylor hold Schatz up just enough to give Ryan Smith the win?

Smith worked his way by the 20 car...not sure he put a mirror on after that pass and "knew" who was trying to pass him the next lap?
The cool part is nobody accused Ryan Smith of winning with traction control!

I'm a Schatz fan, but I'm not gonna take anything way from Smith he drove a great race and did what he had to do to beat the best. Good hard clean racing.

Schatz has stomped the whole rest of the country for 26 wins and has had nothing for the Posse all year.
Is this heaven? No, it's Central PA...
|
Congrats to Smith for a well deserved WoO victory. Beating the Outlaws is a career defining moment.
pubicdoghairs, just so your set straight on your "facts" the Outlaws were swept by the Cali locals at the Gold Cup. Oh and there was the matter of local boy Rico whipping on them at Tulare in the spring too. It happens now and again around the country but that doesnt change the fact that the Outlaws have the best in the business amongst their ranks. To beat them means you've beat the best!
Cheers!

I am pretty sure Schtaz has beat the posse plenty of times... It's a lot of fun to watch him win all over the world... Be nice to see the posse travel but I guess if they arent right at home they might not win so we wouldnt want that now...

+1 Apparently the OP didn't bother so much as to even watch the highlights before spouting off. 1 of the best races I saw all year.

Yes he did but I don't think it was intentional, just racing. Donny was pulling off the bottom of 2 better than Ryan was though the middle but I think Ryan was better through 3-4, and he made the right moves at the right times to put a lapped car inbetween. Another 5 laps and I don't know but you could say that about a lot of races.

The comment about three leaders at an Outlaw race doesn't even begin to cover the lead changes in this race as does not the scoring. I am not sure how many lead changes there were in this race, I would guess ten or twelve as the lead changed two or more times in a lap between Madsen and Wolfe then Smith and Wolfe. I would like to see the whole video as the partial ones I have seen didn't show all the lead changes. I think most Pa. fans would have considered it a good race even if Schatz had won it.

Well said.

Yeah the fan response to Schatz during his 2nd place interview was nothing short of embarassing. Our guy just won! Show some class my fellow posse fans. Donny handled the boos and heckling with class like he usually does. Donny has always been respectful and complimentive of the PA drivers and fans. I'll bet this makes him want to win even more the next time he comes to PA though.

Right, I understand that but sometimes the vocal few make everyone look like assholes. Now if Donny had pulled a dirty move or said something to incite the crowd I would boo too, but he didn't. He raced cleanly and put on a good show when a couple times he was probbaly close enough to drive Ryan off the track, like some might do. Donny is a good, hard but clean racer. I respect him for that even if he isn't the most fan friendly driver in the world. Gotta show them all respect.

I have been watching Ryan smith for a couple years in 410s and he is really impressive.
I do not think they have a big race team and he always seem to be in the thick of every show.
Last year Tusky 50 think he got 3rd or 4th this year Tusky think 5th.Do not know exactly where he finished in grove points
but think top 5..I was at port on sat outlaw race and not only was that one of the best sprint car shows i have ever
seen, That kid drove one hell of a race!! My wife and I went to his trailer after race and there were 100 people there getting autographs and pictures, we waited for over a half hour just to shake his hand and he is very humble and a very nice kid..
Read one story that said at port royal there are only 4 non outlaws that have one a outlaw race ,
Lynn Paxton, Don Kreitz, Doug Wolfgang and Ryan Smith.

What he was saying is Rob has plenty of money $50 /100 million a year company with 1000 plus employees. It means what he has is GOOD stuff just because he doesn't have ten of them doesn't say it is not good stuff. With Ryan being a local team and parts all around him for purchase.

Slink51...you know something I dont? I run Ryans Pr and as his publisist Im here to tell you....WE ARE...LOOKING FOR SPONSORS! Mr. Warko is a great supporter and team owner and he has been a huge part of this teams success. The motor used to win that race was sporting 15 yr old heads and technology almost as old as the man wheeling that machine. The car is the ONLY Triple X in the stable. We traded a chassis to get it only a few weeks ago. If this team has big money we sure as hell arent spending it foolishly thats for sure.
We are still floating on air...winning a WoO is a dream come true for any 410 driver. Ryan and his team have worked hard....damn hard to see that dream come true. SEE YOU ALL IN CHARLOTTE!!!
RYAN'S goals and those of his team are to make a run at the Outlaws on a regualr basis....that takes BIG MONEY. LOL We are far from BIG MONEY!
PR CHICK....press releases, media decks, media support,
sponsorship representation, team relations, product
branding. ALL IN ONE PLACE!

Last year with Matt Mountz still driving, The team had a car for every division 305 358 and a 410. Some nights they ran both the 410 and 358 at the Grove and Lincoln. Sorry if I thought wrong. I remember seeing a pic with all of the cars in it, and thought wow they have more $ than I thought.

Here is the pic that came with the annoucement last year that Smith was the new driver of the 94. Don't seem like a team with a shoestring budget to me.
