I had this same thought..... Is the winner of the Friday night show guaranteed a spot in the Saturday show? If so does he/she already know what spot they're starting?

Yes. Will be in redraw with a starting spot no worse than 8th. I think WJ won from 7th spot on sat

It will be. The people behind the Fall Brawl are motivated. Their goal is to make it the biggest 360 race in the country. Other tracks better step up their game to keep up.

I can guarantee the fine folks who put on the Trophy Cup are not worried in the least. They're not in competition with any race in the country. It's an event that is in a class of it's own due to the charitable fund raising aspect and the full field invert. I cant wait for this years event, there is nothing like it.

Now I am really happy that this fall brawl race is thus far successful, that is great for racing in general. Kudos to those organizing it.

Cheers!

IBRACN is correct on why the grader came out during intermission. At that point, if the water seeping thru the front wall could not be controlled, the night's race would more than likely have been cancelled. It was not safe to continue the way it was.

THANK YOU to everybody that was involved from day one right up to the "Grader Man Ryan Roberts", and Steve Kosiski. I hope there will be a Midwest Fall Brawl IV and sure hope to be a part of it again...z

I for one WILL be back to this race!  I don't see how people can complain about this weekend, IF you were there and paid attention to the weather/ etc.  The I-80 crew deserve a HUGE pat on the back for getting the show in on Saturday  PERIOD!  And, it was great racing.  Yeah, the late models had a few issues at the beginning of feature, but if you watched the racing, not just the leader, it was good.  Sprint car feature had how many cars moving up 6-10 spots?!!? what more can you ask for?  I think Zomer had it won without the open red, but KUDOS to Wayne and crew for getting it done and winning $50K!  Couldnt think of a more deserving team to win it.  We have been to all 3 Fall Brawls, looking forward to #4 already!

I to have been to all 3 Fall Brawl`s. I don`t plan on missing any in the near future. Thanks to Alan DeHaai, Joe Kosiski, and eveyone at I-80 speedway. By rights, after 2 and a half inches of rain, there is no way that a race would have happened saturday night except for the heroic efforts of everyone at the track to get the track race ready. Thanks again for a fantastic weekend.

Jason Johnsons rig sat in the pits overnight and he had to be pulled out of his parking spot,  the truck and trailer sunk down to where the bottom of the trailer was dragging ,  I have been stuck in the pits after less rain than that ,  Steve Kosiski, Joe Kosiski, Alan DeHaai, and all who helped get that place in shape just to get the trucks and trailers in the pits let alone get a race in deserve a standing ovation.  Ryan Roberts has helped many tracks get in shape after rain, He sure can run a grader!  then goes and drives a sprintcar,  I for one will not miss this show ever, Was exciting, I saw WJ going backwards for a bit and thought Zomer had it made.  WJ made some changes on the red and boom here he comes,  Very deserving of that win, never gave up.  He didn't get to celebrate as he had too take the Head off his engine (insurance co. rule) this year .  I'm sure he is still smiling.  All in all, great race.

PS.  did everyone complain at knoville Nationals with the late starts and late finishes ?

unfortunately noone has built a dome over tracks so everything is perfect>

People would still find a reason to bitch even with a dome

A week ago today we were all concerned because there was a 80% chance of rain and it was oh please please please lets just get the race in. I wasnt complaing because i got to watch the game ... if this show would have got over at 11:00 it would have bumper to bumper traffic back to Omaha anyway. I was a good thing they had the late models there to dry the track out some more. JMO!!

First off, I want to thank everyone that was either there or supported this event as it is a work in progress and is getting better every year. We are and have been planning the Midwest Fall Brawl IV and hope it is even more exciting than the previous 3. I definitely would like to apologize for the late evening on both nights but we did have some unfortunate crashes on Friday that took a while to clean up, including the 6 car melee on the start of the Sprint A-Feature. Saturday was completely out of our hands as the infield was an absolute mess after 2.5 inches of rain, to say it lightly it was more like a swamp. We worked on that infield until after 5pm which had all of our efforts....therefore, nothing was getting done on the track. I truly thought an hour late start was excellent considering the circumstances. We look forward to seeing everyone back and more for the Midwest Fall Brawl IV.
