In case your thinking of chroming a set of these, THEY DO TWIST AND BREAK THE CHROME PLATING OPEN OVER TIME. Same goes for axles too.

Bottom line...buy as complete a car as you can. You will save money in the long run. Vintage parts have sky rocketed in the last couple of years. It costs a fortune to build a car from a bare frame unless you use modern parts. Get involved with a club or other vintage racers. Lots of vintage parts are rat holed that people will part with for a fair price to a fellow racer. Unless you get lucky, there aren't many bargains on eBay or the racer classifieds.

Powdercoating is best type of coating these days, get it done on a lot of things I race with, chrome is nice for show but not if your gonna race it.

XYZ Machining out of Indiana has really nice rear arms of all sizes/offsets/thicknesses , I run an XP Birdcage setup which the heim ends pickup point is right under the axle and this requires a much greater off set LR & RR Arm and I have found XYZ has the best quality alum. torsion arms out there and I get the thicker one so they don't flex.
Those tubular arms are nice but a bit pricey as you have to get them custom made for your offset you want, been down that road with them bending them up for these XP Birdcages I run.

Around $155 each for completely bent up and welded and ready to put on, I guess it is ok if you have the $$$ to spend??, XYZ run around $87 for the the thicker rear t arms.

Got a new powder coater in our area. His chrome powder coating looks really good. Check out the IMCA frame that was complete chrome powder coated.
