Thank you for spelling out what you know EA, I know people don't want to spread rumors on here but he just did a nice job of explaining what happened and did it without throwing others under the bus.
As far as Donny goes, I had heard it was Danny too that actually did that but come on, there isn't near as much comic relief in that. I just threw it out there as a joke, at least in my opinion its still funny.

I will say that Cody seems like a nice kid when I have met him. I bought my son one of his t-shirts and Cody took the time sign the t-shirt last summer and gave him fist bumps so that was cool. But it was obvious then that he was down, frustrated, the road is real grind on him emotionally I think. He is young and he obviously crossed a line here that isn't good, but we've all made mistakes we regret in life. It's not like Steve or Sammy hasn't been involved in a fight before. Darrah has struggled to meet the unfair expectations placed on him by us fans/media because he drives for KKR. The WoO is tough. It took guys like Schatz and Meyers 4-5 years out there to be able to win consistently. Joey had his ups and downs and still hasn't won a title. I hope it works out for Cody, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Paul McMahon in that car next year unless the 4 team wins some races.

Cody Darrah does seem like a nice kid and has gotten more than his share of Slams from this board alone by the Keyboard professionals. If this was a case of harassment, since when is it wrong to stick up for yourself.

Well said. I think the expectations thing is very key to this. I almost replied on another thread the other day as well about what some people expect, I don't think the world of outlaws has ever seen a 2nd year driver win the points championship. Donny Schatz didn't win a WoO feature till his 2nd year and only won 1 that year. My point being it takes everybody more than a couple of races to get to the top.

Don't have an opinion one way or the other on Cody, but in the 2 years I've followed this board, he's taken lots of crap.

That's one thing that is a big problem in today's world, people can run their mouth and slander someone or tell a bunch of lies about a persons character and they suffer no consequences, but as soon as the person they're talking crap about smacks them in the pie hole they're the ones who get busted by the cops.Maybe if you could legally punch some of these people who get their rocks off talking crap about people, some of them might learn to keep their mouth shut since there could be consequences for their actions.

We should all have 1 free pass in our lives to shoot someone. We use to talk in college about how sometimes it would be just great if it was 1870, if you were stupid you got shot.

I have no issue with him drawing a line in the sand. I think he and Dan Deitrich had an emotional moment earlier in the year. Cody is a stocky youngster and not afraid to back it up. Probably a hockey fan too!

I am not one to judge anyone but if your story is true by straight jumping the person which he seems to have done in the past (via Link posted) and sucker punched him, maybe someone needs to plant a fist to the ol' nose give this child a little taste of his own coming anyone can run up and sucker punch someone like he does... The apple did not fall far from the tree ! Daddy already had the post regarding Cody removed from the Williams Grove message board. Just the type of publicity that your sponors do not want to see in the press!

This kid has taken more abuse on this board every since he was named a driver for KKR. I bet 95% of those responding negatively toward him on this board have never even spoken to him in person. If you have, most if not all, would change their hatred toward him. He is a decent person and a pretty fair driver given his age. I can almost guarantee if he was on the outlaw trail in his own family car, most would not care and 99% of the negative posts would be gone. Alot of you act like it his your own money being spent instead of Kahne's $$$ or you feel he has taken away a ride from your favorite driver for some reason. Give the kid a break.

You don't have to plead guilty for a charge to show up on Iowa Courts dot com. My court date for my OWI was in March and I got it at Dingus the Oct before. It was on there 3 days later as soon as the State was able to type it in, goes for any charge.

SO what was all said to start this? The only problem I have with this if it was a sucker punch, even if a person has something coming, put your dukes up and fight like a man not a coward not taking any sides but 'C'MON MAN!" - *Monday Night Countdown!*
