Wasn't there two Jacks in the announcers booth in the early nineties. One called himself just Jack and the other called himself Jackoff. Kent Albright was a good promoter and very fair and if I remember right his son Dustin drove a prostock and I remember Albright and his wife owned an eatery that stayed open after the races. I think I heard where Dustin Albright was a police officer in Enid. Wrench 23 wasn't your dad the head scorer? Ah the good old days

Yeah my Dad was the head Scorer there, and there was 2 Jacks at one time there funny guys, always had fun in the press box.

Wayne Cox lives across the street from me, and he now bowls in a weekly league. Hes pretty good. His grandson said he tried many things after racing like bullriding.

Jett Starr is at Dagwell/Dixie in downtown Oklahoma City. Still a character and loves to talk racing.

Any Greg Wooley sightings?

Here's a pic of the Greg Wooley Nance sprinter I'm building:

I heard when Tony Stewart was informed about the grave condition of Jack Miller and that he was not able to travel to the hall of fame induction in Knoxville, he sent his plane and pilot to fly Jack and his wife to the ceremony. If that is true, that was a great gesture by "Smoke".

Well this was posted 4 years ago so not sure if it will make it back to original poster. I am Dustin Albright. My dad Kent Albright was the promoter of Enid Speedway from 1981 to 1991. I then raced for 10 years. My dad passed away in 2000 from an unexpected illness and totally turned our world upside down. He was everything to our family. He was the leader and protector. He was my mother's entire life. I raced a Pro Stock again for a year after that for Mike Cooper. He was a great car owner and I'm forever indebted to him for that opportunity. I took many checkered flags in my time at racing but none of them were as sweet as the time I swept Winter Nationals in my Street Stock and then raced a Pro Stock for Bryce Olson for the first time. I won my heat and finished 6th in the A Feature the very first time I ever drove a Pro Stock. Dad was so proud of me. After I won the Street Stock A Feature I pulled into the pits and my dad was crying. My dad never cried. I asked him what was wrong and he said that I just accomplished something he never accomplished in all his years of racing the Winter Nationals event. He said that he would win the heat and then finish second in the feature or he would finish second in the heat and win the feature. He gave me a big ole bear hug. The second sweetest checkered flag was the first checkered flag I took after my dad passed away. I knew that guy was in the car with me. I truly miss him. I haven't raced since 2001 but I got to hot lap a modified last year and I don't think I've missed a beat. I would love to do it again someday but with a wife and four girls it would have to be racing for someone else again. Maybe this post might help that come true lol. I am still at the Enid Police Department. I have been there for over 17 years and have been a sergeant for over 12 years. My mother is still alive and doing very well. I have a very close family but I do miss the racing community. Thank you very much for inquiring about my family and I. Have a Merry Christmas.

Enid Speedway's 2 announcers back then was Jack Hammock and Jack Morris . Jack Morris was married to Kendra Albright but not no more . He announces at Longdale Speedway and still pretty good . also a detective at EPD . Dustin Albright is also a detective at Enid Police Department . To this day . Hammock was going to promote the track this last year but backed out . it was a little much for him. he was the person going and getting sponcors for Longdale Speedway don't know if he is still doing that or not .
