So please keep in mind I'm no expert. To run a year at Knoxville starting with nothing would take some big money.

3 Motors 60000/65000 per unit. If you want to be a serious team. You might get away with 2 motors. It would be pushing it at all times.

2 complete cars and enough spares in the trailer to put a third together 30/35K per car.

Truck and trailer to get there 60/100K give or take. Sure you could tow in with a flat bed trailer and a station wagon but you need access to all of your spares to run for a championship.

20K in miscellaneous tools, pills, shock dyno. Again if your starting with nothing.

Then you need another 2500 hundred a week for tires, methonal, truck fuel, oil and other minor repairs.

Not to mention paying someone to work on it all week. Your racer driver is going to want his/her cut of the winnings.

Now obviously year two will be a lot cheaper. You can cut a bunch of this out if you just want to hire an as run. But if you want to build  a competitive up front team from nothing it would take 500 people donating a grand.

Its pretty easy to see why there is no car owners left.

Thats crazy for a local team, and doesnt even allow for a trip to another track.

Can we start with the 2nd year first

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Sucks for Brooke, as far as timing goes.  Hope he gets another ride, if thats what he wants.  Looking at it from the other side, drivers leave all the time.  Sometimes not the best time for a owner.  So it is a two way street.

Hopefully the Nelsons will expand their 360 schedule and Brooke can run the Midwest power series at Jackson Mn and around the state this summer I think in that car he would be a threat to win the championship and win quite a few races plus it pays pretty good      Glen Murra

Team owner has a long history of shady situations with many different people and over all just someone I'd be really cauitous to get involved with.

Just bumping this back to the top. According to Amy Tatnell's recent fb post, Brooke still does not have a 410 ride for this season. They are looking for a ride or partners to put their own deal back together. Anyone looking for a gasser who is easy on equipment and a great ambassador for the sport get ahold of Brooke Tatnell.

There are very few car owners up here in Minnesota and I can't think of any for hire 410 rides.  Most Sprint drivers own and drive their own cars and the UMSS that runs here is limited motors.  Brooke ran his own 410 deal one year, a #1 car if memory serves me.  I can't recall the year but I took photos of everything he has driven since he's lived up here so I need to check the year.

If I were to guess I'd say he will end up running his own deal again.  Knoxville is six hours from here so i am curious to see if that is where they will race.  The season is getting close so it's all going to need to come together quickly to be ready for season openers.  We have enough special events, Jackson, IRA, Grand Forks, and Knoxville to put together a schedule, the cost of motors is the biggest challenge.

Yes Stan , I remember the #1 car, he also ran his own #25 car at one point. Here is to keeping our fingers crossed, it would be a shame not to see him running.

I drive by their place up on North Shore so if I find out they're running their own deal and see them working on a race car I'll stop and say hi.  Brooke has another weekend left in Australia so he probably hasn't been able to do much since he got the news that he was out of the #55.  The season starts up here in April so that doesn't give him much time to put something together.  If he's footing the bill for his own deal motors become the biggest expense and Knoxville requires a lot of $$$power.  I don't know what to expect but that will all be coming out soon.
