I got home from the race Sunday morning after the 2 1/2 hour drive. I parked the camper and came into the house. My Wife greeted me with a good morning and proceeded to ask how it was. I sat down and like you, the tears came out as I explained to her that it did not turn out well. She knows my passion for the sport. Just then, a call was taken by her and she started balling. It was her son in Denver, calling to say the dog is going to the emergency vet and will need to be put down. My wife was crying because of the dog situation, and that her son was alone in having to deal with his best friend being put down, and I was tearing up because of that and the situation from Saturday night/Sunday morning. It was a very, very somber day in the household yesterday. Very sad day indeed

Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear about the dog. I understand that he's part of the family too.
I still can't imagine what this coming weekend is going to be like. I'm thinking I might need to go to my local track Saturday night (Skagit) just to make sure I'm around other race fans.

A s I said on another post I think the Outlaws should only start 23 cars for the rest of the season and all the money for 24th should go into a fund in honor of Jason .

my first memories of Jason were when i just got back around sprintcar racing back in 2001 and i purchased a sprint racing calender one of the months featured a pic of Jason doing a huge wheelstand from going over the left rear of Christy Passmore. that picture left a huge impression on me, so when i got the chance to meet him at tulare thunderbowl, i brought that calender page with me & had him sign it. he got a good laugh when i showed him the picture, & that smile keeps going thru my head over & over again that is how i prefer to remember a gentleman, a mans man, a cool dude, and a badass racecar driver
