Wished granted ogob....
POWRI War series announced they'll be at Osky on August 7th.
This week just got better, and I THINK the ALL STARS are going to be at Knoxville the week before the 360Nats.
Don't go to the Osky Challenges website as it looks like it still is showing 2017 info and scheduling.

I like it. 24 cars would be perfect, three heats and a feature. Might be tough on a Tuesday night though.

Thank you God!!! Or should I say...McGod. Hopefully it's a good purse for non-wing. I'll take it but hoping it will lead to another big non-wing only show next year.

After years of going to USAC sprint car races, the years Terry hosted the non-wing cars were some of the best nights of racing I had seen in years. He did an outstanding job entertaining the fans all night long.
It reminded me of the 60's and 70's at Knoxville, you had no idea who would win, many many passes, just great racing.
Terry does a great job and worth planning a vacation around.

I completely agree. The non wing races were some of my favorite for the week, as that was the only chance I got to see some topless action...

I enjoy the week as it is now, I get to go to Pevely without any worry I’m missing out on the great 360/410 doubleheader they used to have for the 360 nationals and I come in to town on Sunday to see 70-80 sprint cars for the Cappy.
But I do miss the wingless sprints, I hope a few of the guys who race both will race with the WAR guys on Tuesday.

It's interesting that WAR is going to race at a half-mile like Oskaloosa. They stopped racing at Sedalia because it was a big half-mile and they decided it was too dangerous. I'm not complaining because I dig the WAR series and I'll love getting to see non-wing action at Osky again. It does make me wonder if this could open up a return to Sedalia in the future.

It's actually not a WAR event. It is WAR Wildcard (formerly known as WAR east). This is a seperate point series from WAR in Missouri. I think money will have an impact on who actually shows for this. If enough is there, you'll get some Indiana cars I would think. On the other hand, if no one thinks any USAC cars will be there, you could see a whole bunch of non-USAC cars that think they actually have a chance to win a non-winged race on a half mile and be a hero! My hope is they will be treated more like an equal and not like some winged 305 support class and you could see an awesome show!
