I always said racing wasn't "Fun". But enjoyed it for 20 years. Fun is when I hop on my motorcycle and go to a race and then ride home without having to worry about getting ready for the next race or paying for the next part or being aggravated at a bad night.                            There are some very talented people involved with both types and I'm talking driver and crew but I always felt the depth of that talent went deeper with the wing cars.  Couple that with there is just more money to be had with a wing and it was more rewarding to do well with a wing.

The proven fact is wings are safer on larger high speed tracks. I love both but non wing on a short track are hard to beat. Hard to beleive as  Zomer did well for them and they have had some good drivers.

One good thing about the revolving door on the BWW car is that we haven't lost a good open wheeler to Nascrap. Smile Smile

Well they found a good driver. Should run the All-star tour.

Cap is definitely a talent (and an underrated one at that). Off top of my head he "quietly" finished I think fourth in All Star points last year. He's a real good racer. Thought he mentioned he wanted to slow down this year and pick and choose which is why they weren't doing All Stars.

You're correct he finished 4th in the All Star points. To Kemenah, Blaney, and Haudenschild so nothing to scoff at for sure. Didn't get any wins last year but he was damn close a lot. He had said previously that they were gonna race mostly local Ohio shows this year in the Coomer 21, but this was before KTJ had even ran a race in the 82 much less gotten booted. Hopefully he makes good on his oppurtunity. At the time I'm typing this he's set to start 17th in the A main which (I believe) is only the 2nd or so race the 82 has made the feature in with WoO.

Finished 14th which is about what that car has. If the owners are smart they'll stick with him as long as he wants the ride. The last couple of years he's learned to get as much out of cars as they have without being too hard on equipment.

Yeah that's a good run for the 82 car. Regardless of who's driving it. I'm assuming he'll be running for them down at Devil's Bowl this weekend as well?

Cap running 10th at Nationals a few years back was pretty eye-opening.

I like Cap, I hope he can keep the car through the weekend at least.

Oh yeah I remember that. Good one Anthony. If I remember correctly was in his own 54 ride correct?

I've only seen non-wing once when Eagle Raceway had a three day CRA (I think it was CRA non-wing) World of outlaw show.  Non wing race on Thursday nite and WoO Fri and Sat.  I liked them both.  I remember the drivers were throwing her sideways shortly after the flagstand, very shortly after the flagstand.    Those were some good old days going to the Outlaws at that great viewing track.  Have not been down there since they quit having WoO on the schedule and too far to go for a one day WoO show.

Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Before I post my sardonic response, one question ?  Did he bring money to the ride ?  The more money he brought, the longer he will last.

I don't think Sussex had the ride per se. I think the team wanted to stay somewhat on schedule and we're out West so they hired him to cover a few races. Not sure but that's my guess. Now Cap, I'm guessing if they flew him down from Ohio to Texas that he has somewhat more permanence...okay that's a bad word choice but still. I also believe Cap was in the BWW car a few years ago for a race or two.
