Sprint Car Bandits Series Opener This Saturday - March 12!

Mesquite, TX (3/8/16) by DarinShort.com. What was a vision a few months ago is now becoming reality this Saturday night, March 12th, when the Milestone Electric Sprint Car Bandits are set to invade the 1/4 mile bullring of Superbowl Speedway located just outside of Greenville, Texas.

At the time of writing, 44 Sprint Car teams from throughout DFW and the surrounding areas have registered their cars to compete with the Sprint Car Bandits series in 2016. If you are a race team that plans to compete in the Sprint Car Bandits, you must register your team in advance to avoid paying a registration fee at the track on race night.

Registration takes just a moment to complete, so if you've yet to do so, just go to www.SprintCarBandits.com then click the 'drivers' tab, and in about a minute you'll be all set. Your registration is a 'one time' procedure, and will last the entire 2016 racing season and includes all SCB events.

Again, advance driver registration with the Sprint Car Bandits series is mandatory, and must be completed prior to March 12 to avoid paying a registration fee on race night. This applies to all SCB events in 2016.

Superbowl Speedway is located at 437 FM 1903 Greenville, TX and is quite easy to get to. Take the 'FM 1903' exit off of I-30 (exit 87, about 45 miles from downtown Dallas), then head east 3 miles and you will run into the track. The main entrance is first and is for race fans going to the stands. The second exit off of corner 4 is for the pit entrance. On race day, the track phone number is (903) 883-2504 or click www.facebook.com/superbowlspeedway for the track Facebook page.

Joining the Sprint Car Bandits series, will be a complete Superbowl Speedway points night of racing in the Factory Stocks, Jr Limiteds, Limited Modifeds& Street Stocks. Gates open at 5pm. Races start at 7pm. Grandstand Adults are just $15, while Kids(7-11) are $10 and Seniors(ID 65) are $10. Pit passes are $35. The SCB feature race is slated for 2nd or 3rd feature race out in the running order (which will be the case at all SCB events in 2016).

Race fans can expect a great mix of young and veteran drivers competing with the Sprint Car Bandits. The following 44 drivers have submitted their SCB driver registration confirming their intent to compete in the series in 2016:

Austin Mundie, Blake Mallory, Brad Queen, Brandie Jass, Brad Welborn, Brandon Corn, Brandon Long, Bryson Oeschger, Chance McCrary, Charlie McDonald, Claud Estes III, Colby Hudspeth, Colton Goodwin, Dale Wester, Dalton Stevens, Dustin Woods, Gary Floyd, Jerry Bell, Junior Jenkins, Jason Howell, John James (car owner), John Kelly, Joe Wood Jr., Johnny Miller, Justin Melton, Justin Zimmerman, Larry Howery, Larry Long, Logan Payne, Mark Huddleston, Marcus Thomas, Michael Kostic, Michael Lang, Michelle Melton, Payton Williams, Raven Culp, Robert Byrom, Robert Vetter, Rodney Henderson, Ryan Hall, Shawn Mize, Sterling Hoff, Steve Elliott and Tucker Doughty.

Teams will be competing for an excellent total feature race purse of $9,610, and all feature race starters receive a minimum of $400. There is no driver entry fee due to the SCB on race night, but once again, drivers must be registered with the series prior to race day to avoid paying an at-track registration fee. This information is repeated several times in this press release because the SCB is not a 'just show up and race' series. All non-starters or non-qualifiers will receive $100.

We would like to thank the sponsors of the Sprint Car Bandits series: Milestone Electric, B-Tactical, Rodd Hanna's Air Performance, A&M Glass Service and Palm Harbor Homes - and with each SCB sponsor announcement, the series can continue to implement one of its primary missions, and that is adding to the already excellent competitor purses. This mission is being put into effect this Saturday, March 12th at Super Bowl Speedway, as the SCB will inject an additional $1,250 in sponsor money to the feature event purse, which will pay the standard $1,200 to win - but will now raise the start money from $300 to $400.

If your business is interested in getting involved with the SCB series, please contact Steve Lang directly at: [email protected] or by calling 469-474-8234. There are effective programs available for all sizes of budgets.

The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment), yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition, with teams of varying budget sizes.

That rules package certainly has the vote of many of the drivers in the DFW area, as 44 have already submitted their registration information to the SCB, indicating their intent to compete with the series in 2016. Series rules are posted at the link below.

Between the lower operating cost of the SCB series and the addition of sponsor funds into nightly purses, it is allowing more area race tracks to book events - which all translates into DFW area fans getting to see quality sprint car race at a lower grandstand ticket price.

When you combine those components with lower nightly competitor operating purses, it all equals one thing: the new Sprint Car Bandits series.

Click www.SprintCarBandits.com for the latest in series news - including the brand new event flyer for the inaugural series event, coming to Super Bowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas this Saturday, March 12.

As of the time of writing, here's the latest official SCB event schedule - and note that there are some new dates still in negotiation, which will be released when officially booked.

Race teams, one final reminder: If you are a race team that intends on racing with the SCB this season, take a moment to go to the series website and register your team. It takes just a moment to do, and is mandatory to complete a day prior to competing in order to avoid paying an at-track registration fee, as the SCB is not a 'just show up and race' series.

The Sprint Car Bandits series is dedicated to help bringing back some of the old-time fun of sprint car racing, yet incorporating some much-needed basic adjustments that help the teams stay on track with their budget - and fans not having to pay excessively high ticket prices to enjoy watching them.

Thank you to the drivers, area racetracks and sponsors for their strong support of this new series, we're looking forward to having a great season...which fires off this Saturday at Superbowl Speedway!
