Sprint Car Bandits Series Kick-Off Bash, Practice & Meet-n-Greet

Mesquite, TX (2/23/16) by DarinShort.com. The Milestone Electric Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series opener will be held on Saturday, March 12th at Super Bowl Speedway near Greenville, Texas. As a pre-race weekend series kick-off, SCB officials are inviting all of the SCB registered cars and teams out for an afternoon of at-track activities on Sunday, March 6th at 3pm. The event will be held at Super Bowl Speedway.

In a nutshell, the event will include a SCB drivers meeting (covering rules and procedures & meeting the SCB officials), late afternoon practice for the SCB registered teams, food and taking publicity photos.

This event is FREE to all SCB registered drivers and their team members. The only charge is if you bring your SCB car, you will pay $25 per SCB car upon arrival (at pit gate). Again, the practice is closed to SCB registered cars only. Gates for SCB teams open at 2pm and the drivers meeting will take place in the pit grandstands at 3pm sharp.

This will be a great opportunity for all SCB registered teams to come and hear about the posted series rules and procedures, get their team paperwork filled out, shake down their cars (on the track they'll be having their opener at six days later), get some pictures taken and meet the SCB series officials.

RACE FANS...you're not being left out of the fun! At 4pm (after the drivers meeting concludes), you can come in the pits and check out the SCB cars and teams in the pits and their practice - FREE of charge!

We estimate the SCB practice session to end by 6pm, with the pits closing shortly thereafter (before the sun sets at 6:20pm).

We'd also like to get an approximate head count of SCB cars and teams coming to this kick-off event (for food prep and track prep purposes). Prior to March 6th, please email [email protected] if you plan to bring your SCB car to practice, and about how many people are coming with you. Click www.SuperBowlSpeedway.com for track info and directions.

The Sprint Car Bandits series is dedicated to helping bring back some of the old-time fun of sprint car racing, yet incorporating some much-needed basic adjustments that help the teams stay on track with their budget - and fans not having to pay excessively high ticket prices to enjoy watching them.

The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment), yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition with teams of varying budget sizes, while still competing for excellent competitor purses.

At the time of writing, there are 42 registered SCB teams. There are presently 11 SCB series events booked at six DFW area speedways. To get your team registered for the 2016 series, click www.SprintCarBandits.com and then go to the 'drivers' link, and in about a minute, you'll be all set for the season!

If your business, or race track (within 150 mile radius of DFW), is interested in getting involved with the SCB series, please contact Steve Lang directly at: [email protected] or by calling 469-474-8234. There are effective programs available for all sizes of budgets.

Thanks again to the strong support of the DFW area race teams, tracks and sponsors for their support of the newly formed Sprint Car Bandits series!
