Attended Port Royal's annual banquet last night , use to attend alot of the others as well but not many left anymore. But heard a few things that once again Port Royal is updating , lighting being put up pits and inside turns 3 and 4 , new grandstands going up outside turn four will hold approximately 3,200 containing folding seats and seating like in main grandstand . Doesn't also sound like major changes will come to Selinsgrove this year but are looking at various options , that came from Mr. Heffner . but in the mean time fans need to support both of these tracks as they care about you .

Support these tracks because Robert Altman likes them. The guy that thinks every track needs improvements is now asking you to support a track that's says they are making none!

Yes , I am saying support all tracks not because I like them or not . Yes, all tracks should be updated to accomodate the new fans , cleaner facilites for the ladies and men and it helps promote our sport . Times have changed and NASCAR had something to do with that because of there facilities but even those could have been built better in planning them , but then they weren't fans so they didn't know what we liked or convenience wasn't planned out either . Thank you to my critics , just my opinions , I honor yours so honor mine , Ok

It's difficult to honor your opinions when you don't. You keep saying support all tracks but then you did not go to a local track because you didn't like the format and didn't want to pay the ticket price.
But you wanted everyone to sit out in the cold to support one of your favorite tracks last race.
That is being a hypocrite!

Practice what you preach. You want everyone else to support all tracks but you personally don't. Maybe you should quit trying to tell other people (fans and track owners/promoters) what to do with their time and money and worry about yourself. I guarantee I give more support to all the Cental Pa sprint car tracks than you do and so do many many others. We all have our regular tracks but there's a good many of us who get to all of them at least a few times a year. I go to Williams Grove and Port every week if there's 410 sprints racing religiously. I also support all of Susky's shows as best I can..... I've only missed 1 since 2010 because I chose Path Valley instead. Both got snowed out which sucked but speaking of Path Valley, I haven't missed any of their 410 shows since they started having them again. I've made it to all of Grandview's 410 shows since 2008 and I've done every race on the Speedweek schedule for the past 3 years and every one except Big Diamond and Hagerstown for about 4 or 5 years prior to that. I've supported all of Bedford's 410 shows since about 2000-2001. I could go on and on but I won't because quite frankly, no one gives a shit. So maybe you should do the same but if you're going to tell everyone to support all tracks, then you should too. That means, don't be on here bashing the tracks such as Lincoln and Williams Grove who didn't let you set up your tables 15 years ago and don't be in here constantly bitching about everyone's facilities not being up to your ridiculous and flat out stupid and impractical standards. In other words...... Practice what your preach.

I am bashing anyone its how I see it , your right I need to attend more tracks but we all need to support our local racing , but if the product is not that good then maybe we should not attend ? or if the facilities are not up to par either ? By the way I appreciate all of your opinions regardless of what you think of me . Thank for your support of all tracks

I go to the track to see a good race, not because of the facilities. Give me a good track, good racing, keep the show moving, and I'm a happy camper.

If no one responds to Roberts posts he will go away, if you have not figured it out yet, it is impossible to insult Mr. Altman, he is so hungry for attention that any response, good or bad, to his " the racing is not that good but fans seem to like it so......" Threads makes hi day. Think of a stray cat that's really hungry, if you feed it the shittiest rotten food it will keep coming back for more. Please don't feed the Bob cat anymore, maybe he will look elsewhere for his scraps.

Mr. Altman or anyone else with info, Was Rick Lafferty at the banquet he was the champ in 14 but was missing the last third of the season? I know he is low buck just hope he is not done one of my favorite drivers like to see when he battels the big buck reams. Heard they already put clay on the track and are working on the stands.

No Lafferty was not at the Banquet.
They have the old bleachers out and begain work on the new seats shortly after the Outlaws show.

Yes, as the other gentleman said they are working on the new seating , it is to hold about 3200 seats in this grandstand . They are are working on the lighting in the pits and the inside lighting in turns 3 -4 , some of the seating will be the fold up plastic kind you see at baseball stadiums . Susky will have this seating as well , as it was on display at the closing race. Port Royal has more plans in the future to improve there facility more in years to come . On Port Royal's twitter or face book pages there are some photos of what they've done so far in clearing out the area for the new grandstand seating .

Hopefully the new bleachers will have a better view of the frontstretch than the main grandstand. If so, that's where I'll be sitting. Love all the improvements they are making. The new restrooms are nice.
