Several recent additions and adjustments to the entry list will add to the already strong field for next week's 22nd Trophy Cup at Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway.  A group of Northwest drivers have just entered with Chris Schmelzle, Brian Boswell, J. J. Hickle, and Skylar Gee now in the field.

Versatile driver Bryan Clauson will drive the JFM racing 73 and Jeremy Burt fills the seat in 18.  Possible, but not confirmed, is the appearance of the driver that won the first Trophy Cup in 1994 at San Jose Speedway when it was a one day event for 410s.

Dustin Golobic will join his brother, Shane, in the field and father/son Jac and Sheldon Haudenschild will run Roth cars.  Jac will race in Tulare this Saturday in the KWS event.  Huset's Speedway 410 and 360 champion, Dusty Zomer, has entered for his first Trophy Cup appearance.  Jason Meyers will drive a Tarlton Racing car and Sean Becker will wheel the X1 ride.

This just stokes the fire! Seems like it's been 5 or 6 years since Ronnie Day raced a sprint car, anybody know for sure?

What a great field, even before the addition of Zoomie, The Haundenschilds, and Clauson. Still hoping for a confirmation on Walker.

It may not be out of the question, as he ran the fall nats in Chico, so the had or have a 360 now.

I spoke with Walker last Saturday and he said he was racing the Cup.  When asked what car he said the JFM 73 or 88 (which he drove in Chico).  Clauson is in the JFM 73 the the 88 is not entered and time is rapidly running out to enter.

In the entry list the 7m still has no driver listed  Jason Myers drove it earlier this year  and Ronnie Day drove it a few weeks ago i am think  Day will be in that car  but its only a guess  being Myers is in a Tarlton car...

Thank you. Glad to hear Walker is likely to race. When I look at this field, given it's a 360 race, I see 25-30 car/drivers that are capable of winning a race and/or the Cup. Not many races around the country can offer that.

That's not to say many of the other competitors aren't capable. Just trying to narrow it down a bit.

Great event, plus the cushion is covering it so more can experience too who can not make it.

Be cool to see Tyler at the event again.   With his aggressive driving style, he would have to be one of the favorites for the win (along with a long list of drivers).  Saw him take a win at Ventura in KWS, and he menitoned his crew chief found something new that worked.

This weeks KWS plus non wing 360 USAC should be a great show too, especially with the added entries.

Any suggestions for last minute hotels in the area?  (Motel 6 had some openings earlier in week, but .... been suggested that is not a great choice).
