$5000 to win IMCA Sport Mod Blowout This Weekend!

 

Longdale, Oklahoma – August 31, 2015 -  Some of the top northern and southern sport mod drivers in the Midwest are set to embark on Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Oklahoma this coming Friday – Sunday night, September 4-6, 2015, for the $5000 to win “Labor Day IMCA Sport Mod Blowout.”

It all kicks off this Friday night as the track will host a practice session for all sport mod drivers registered for the “Sport Mod Blowout” from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The track will be hosting regular IMCA point races for their modified and stock car divisions with the pure stock and intermediate sport modified divisions also competing.

Then on Saturday night will see “Sport Mod Blowout” qualifying begin with single car qualifying and pit crew challenge in a timed event. Heat race and “B” features will be run that will set up the “A” main qualifier.

Championship Sunday night will see last chance qualifiers and “B” qualifiers that will set up the night’s 100 lap, $5000 to win and $400 to start twenty-six car “Sport Mod Blowout” feature finale.

IMCA Northern and Southern sport mod rules apply and no mixing or matching of rules will be allowed. There will be a $100 entry fee and this event will be IMCA sanctioned for national, state, regional northern and southern sport mods points.

The official “Sport Mod Blowout is as follows:

IMCA  Sport Mod 100 Labor Day Blowout Payout: 1) $5000, 2) $3000, 3) $2000, 4) $1000, 5) $900, 6) $800, 7) $750, 8) $700, 9) $675, 10) $650, 11) $600, 12) $575, 13) $550, 14) $525, 15) $500, 16) $475, 17) $450, 18) $425, 19-26) $400

Non-Qualifiers: $50

Gates open Friday night at 4:00 PM with the sport mods practice from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Regular weekly racing will begin at 7:30 PM.

Sport mod time trials and pit crew challenge will take place at 4:00 PM and will be open free to the grandstands. Race action Saturday night will see $10 for adult grandstand admission; $8 for seniors and miliary; $5 for ages 6-12 and free to kids ages five and under. All pit passes are $30 or you can buy a two-day pit pass for $50.

Championship Sunday night races start at 7:00 PM and grandstand tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for seniors and military; $8 for ages 6-12 and kids ages 5 and under free. Pit passes are $30 for adults and $15 for ages 6-12.
