I'm a Kraig Kinser fan.  Hate that he's in a Triple X but still don't like to see him struggle so badly.  Anyone heard why he's so slow.  Knoxville Nationals champ to also ran... just crazy.  Should be in his prime.

I don't think it has anything to do with Triple X chassis. Kriag has struggled ever since he came back from the Truck series in NASCAR. Like you, I wonder why he's struggled so bad for so long now. I thought he would be a championship contender from 2006 to now besides the time he was gone in the Truck series.

I wouldn't put so much stock in his winning the Nationals for expectations of what his career was going to be. Of course that is a milestone race, and to be at the front a driver has to do a lot during the week to be in a position to win. The track was absolutely a one lane track on the bottom, and Kraig started on the pole, as I recall. It was probably the most boring finals I've seen, and I've been going to the Nationals since '72. I think Kraig is where he has always been, and will remain. This is a new venture for Kraig, being on the tour without his dad. He made it clear that he wanted to call the shots so to speak, so he's deffinately on a new learning curve. i think he'll remain being a top 7-10 WoO series point guy. I like Kraig, also. He is a very genuine and approachable driver.

Thanks.  Yep he is a gentleman.  Before he tried the stain called NASCAR he was as good as most in a sprint car.  He looked good almost everywhere 10 years ago not just knville.

I by no means dislike him.  I just never thought he was THAT good.  I agree with the fact he's probably going to hover out of the top 5 in points with the WOO.  Knoxville as said earlier was kind of a fluke deal.....although you must be fast enough to start on the pole, so it's not like he is/was terrible.  Outside of winning that, what does he really have to hang his hat on though?  (Before you crucify me for that last sentence, remember it was you that said Knoxville Nationals to also ran)  I think he's a nice enough and personable enough guy.  Just not a WOO champion.

The Kinser team had really fast race cars in the mid 2000s. I think KK benefitted from that. As for Knoxville, even now he's been quite fast there recently, had a prelim win in the bag if not for a boneheaded move in traffic at last year's Nationals.

Wonder if he's considered putting Sammy in the car for a few races?

You can not assume every team has the same amount of money to work with.  My guess is that KK is one of the bottom 6 in money to work with in WOO.  Steve said that he is not going to spend the retirement money he has made to field a sprint car.  I think it all comes down to motors and motors.  For anyone to win the Knoxville Nat. is not a fluke.  You have to make your own way just to be in A  main.  If you win, you deserve it.

You know what else should be way better? This message board. What a waste. I don't know what else to blame the inane whiney BS I read on here besides you guys must be old, stale hillbillies with no control over anything worthwhile so instead you start pointless threads tearing people down. People that do something you NEVER COULD ACHEIVE. Alright, I'm better now. Seriously though, we can do better. This thread is garbage and so is most of the other shit on here. That's why people smarter than me stay away. You crackers need to learn how to utilize a message board. Have a great weekend.

Given you conclusion with Kraig, I thought for sure I'd see your post on the Stevie Smith PA SpeedWeek championship thread saying how good Stevie has looked since switching to the Triple X chassis.  And how he absolutely dominated PA Speedweek with a historic 5 out of 8 victories.

Weirdly enough ... I didn't see it.

People should look at Kraig as Kraig Kinser, not Steve Kinser's son, unachievable expectations. Hes honestly had a decent careeer in WoO some years better than others, but he's not his dad. Never will be,hes Kraig.

I suggest you look up the word forum in the dictionary! And you're right, this message board could be better. Eliminate the "name callers" (you are one).....eliminate those who "discriminate against the elderly and others" (you seem to be one of those)....and eliminate those who are so critical of others that they need to express themselves by using profanity (which you did). There, I feel better, too!

It's hard to give up on cars that don't work when you get them for free.

Car salesman/Politician, about the same actually. Casey Luna was both. And owned a Ford powered sprint car. Thats about the ultimate!

I belive triple x has been somewhat successful. The chinese dont race em cubic. Theyre good chassis.  They're safe chassis. Whats your beef?
