SEVERAL EXCITING LoneStar Speedway SCHEDULE UPDATES Revealed; RACES FEB 21!
Kilgore, TX (1/7/15) by DarinShort.com. The 2015 LoneStar Speedway schedule has just been edited and republished with several exciting updates, so lets jump right in:
1) The February 21, 2015 LoneStar SPRINT CAR SMACKDOWN event flyer is now posted and Sprint Car driver registration is now open. Click http://www.darinshort.com/022115.html and in just a few moments teams can get all set up for the event.
Registering for this event now helps us pre-publicize drivers that will be competing, which is really appreciated by fans and the speedway - the result is it helps us to keep paying these much larger-than-normal size competitor purses. Online registration also saves teams $25, and is open through February 19 (two days before the event).
2) The April 4th Bunny Hop 25 has taken more of a 'leap' than a 'hop,' as it will now feature the first ever SOUTHERN CRATE MODEL SERIES event. And the best part for race fans, there will be NO increase in ticket prices to catch this first-ever Series event!
-The 'For the Love of Alex, Stop Texting and Driving' event featuring a 25-lap Limited Modified feature event (with a JUMBO SIZED purse and NO ENTRY FEE) is now slated for SUNDAY, MAY 10 at 5PM!
Yes, this is also Mother's Day...and all Mother's will receive $5 Grandstand Admission! It is a LSS points event for all divisions and we're really excited about hosting a Sunday twilight event before it gets hot out. It will allow racers and fans from across the area to take in this event - without missing their Saturday night track. And our plan is to have the races over with by 9pm, so everyone can get back home at a decent hour.
3) The Saturday June 27th points race has now reached 'event' status, as the ASCS GULF SOUTH Region Sprint Cars will invade LoneStar Speedway with a complete racing program...in addition to the previously scheduled LSS points divisions! Adult GA tickets are just $15!
4) The 3rd Annual $10,000 to win ARMADILLO NATIONALS has a NEW RACE DATE! It will now be held on the third weekend of September, the 17th-19th. This will allow all Modified teams to be accommodated, due to an event at another track that has changed their traditional September race date to the 4th weekend of September.
And, the Texas Motor Speedway U.S. Dirt Track National Championships is a week before the Armadillo Nationals, which will work out great for teams and fans as well.
5) The October 10th Texas Sprint Car Championships is now sanctioned by the ASCS RED RIVER Region, and teams from throughout the area will be on hand. The Texas Factory Stock Championships will round out this doubleheader event.
The continued three track alliance between LoneStar, Boothill and Ark-La-Tex Speedway's has really made it a challenge for the promoters schedules...especially when it comes to accommodating traveling series.
But those efforts will serve as a huge benefit to all area racers and fans, as they don't have to pick or choose which race they go to - as now they won't miss a lap at any of them in 2015! It's going to be a great season of action, so make plans now to be a part of it all!

2/20 AM EVENT UPDATE:
The forecast has changed significantly (for the better) overnight, we will continue monitoring the forecast and will provide a full event update this afternoon. In light of the old forecast, several drivers held off on pre-entering this week (which is totally understandable!).
That being said, early registration is going to stay open through today. Again, be watching for the event update this afternoon...in the meantime, we'll continue to monitor the forecast.
