I am hearing that Sammy Swindell is talking of "un" retiring and racing sprints in 2015.  I guess he is the Brett Favre of sprint cars.

Who ever thought he would actually not race again???? He wanted to watch his son race but a guy like him can only stay out of the car for so long, especially since he will never have trouble getting a ride/sponsors.

You hear that Maddog?  The Brett Favre of sprint car racing.

Now, if we can just get Sammy to suit up for the Bears and beat Green Bay like Brett did with Minny.  LOL!

I believed him in the interview when he said it used to be all about him and he was going to change that and make it about those around him.  And history has shown that many unretired race car drivers shouldn't have.  Never was a Sammy fan but think he should stay retired.  Chili Bowl okay because he said that.  Keep doing it into his seventies if he wants.  But no on the rest.

Sammy was upset when Big Game pulled him off the road.  He retired rather than face the fact that they weren't going to put him back out there after the Nationals.   I doubt he was ready to stop racing, but that was better than a driver of his reputation without a ride from August on.  Now that the season is over, and no one is racing, he can try to work a deal somewhere before the 2015 season starts.

You may want to get your facts straight! Sammy retired to spend time with his family! It was his choice. Watch for a press release in the next few weeks!

Sammy has earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants. If he has a change of heart, so be it. That means us fans get to see a legend wheel it a few more times and I'm OK with that.

It's been a while since he booted someone to the wall. He misses it.

I'd like to see Sammy run the NSL and hit some Outlaw shows in the midwest. I don't think he's looking to be a full-time Outlaw anymore but pick and choose like Steve probably will. Those two may have some more great battles coming up! I got my plans all set for Florida so I'm glad he's planning on being there.

I heard that rumor a few months ago. She hasn't been in the pictures of any of his tweets for sometime now. I hope they work out any issues that may or may not be there.

Maybe he is gonna drive for Big Game and run the NSL shows. And maybe Steve will run the NSL. Them two would sell some tickets for sure. Could you imagine Sammy, Steve, Dude, McCarl, Brown and maybe Dollansky running the NSL?

The fire is still there and He will put fans in the stands.Love him or not he is still a top 6 WOO driver and many times better. The equiptment has became pretty close except for Schatz and Ricky who dont have to start up front to win.Car owners still like the experienced veterans as most dont tear up much equiptment.
