I think the race tracks and santioning bodies should add a carbon tax to all ticket and backgate prices; the money can be used for anything other than promoting and improving the sport.

I would also like to suggest additional engine and chassis regulations. Make it so difficult and expensive to build a motor that most builders give up or are forced to charge $75k for a 305.

I also think the winner should be forced to share at least 75% of his winnings with his/her fellow competitors, especially if he/she comes from a wealthy family.

If these ideas fail to promote growth, then I would suggest that the World of Outlaws print some money and use it to stimulate the KKR and TSR teams.

These progressive, forward thinking ideas will help stimulate sprint car growth. I'm sure of it!

Think of the profit and growth potential if all tracks & equipment were liquidated and the racing was moved to third world countries.  Mitt Romney would be an excellent Czar of Racing.

Sprintcarfanatic,

Your statement about the Hobby Lobby is not factual.

Hobby Lobby is ready and willing to pay for all commonly used forms of birth control, such as the pill and or the patch. It's the morning after pill that they oppose, because they believe it causes an abortion.

In addition, the Hobby Lobby provides excellent insurance and pays their employees twice the minimum wage. Nice try though!

All,

My initial post was intended to poke fun at some of the disastrous political agendas that are affecting each and every one of us. I tend to lean to the right, but I’m frustrated with politics in general. Very few politicians have the courage to act on our behalf. Instead, most work to protect their political career. Every move, every word, is a calculated political strategy that has very little to do with what’s in the best interest of the voters; the country.

Anyway, enough about that…

With that said, I am equally frustrated about the state of sprint car racing. We all bitch about the cost to compete, but in reality, very little is being done about it.

In my humble opinion, I think technology is the answer. Squeezing 1000 HP out of an engine platform that was designed in the 50’s is both expensive and problematic. I am convinced that there are newer, cheaper, more reliable alternatives that should be explored.

Further proof that I’m not a slam dunk conservative: Sometimes I think the drivers need to form a union. For example, the drivers/owners need more leverage when tracks and sanctioning bodies bow down to the tire companies instead of doing what’s right for their competitors and or region.

We need a forward thinking decision maker to emerge. Instead, the same old people keep trying the same old shit. For example, in 5 years, when a 305 costs $35k, someone will suggest that we need a V6 class. Such nonsense…

We need someone with courage, someone who can think outside the box. We need a paradigm shift!

Yep. All the political sites on the net and a few people still feel the need to spew their political horseshit on a Sprint Car message board. That is not a Democrat or Republican talking point. Politcal garbage from either party on a Sprint Car board is just pathetic.

No one comes to a Sprint Car message board to read politcal ideology from either "side." Even worse, the title was deliberately vague so that readers would not know they were clicking on political garbage until they opened the thread.

I apologize for tricking you in to reading this post. At least you were smart enough to ignore it.

Carbon taxes?  Isn't that Al Gore's plan, the inventor of the internet, who makes lots of money selling trees to reduce his carbon footprint.  If da bum in the white house has his way, it might happen. Yeah, green earth, you don't hear anything abou that on Red Fox News, that's the libs idea.  destroy America, one dollar at a time.

Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

hannity, i agree mostly with what you said about the current state of sprint car racing except for the part about the tracks cowing down to the tire companies, they aren't cowing down, they're being bought by them. remember the golden rule..."those that have the money, makes the rules"

I knew exactly what I was saying. Too bad Reid & a couple other 1's moms didnt take that friggin pill. I've heard that dickhead said he was going to try & get it righted. Cmon man they allow 16 of the 20 that is on the market & that is still not good enough. Quit forcing people / companies to do things that are not in thier beliefs.

These stupid bastards keep taking & all the 1's that think they have nice things are going to be in for a rude awakening when the lesser 1's cant be handfed & start taking you're nice things.

I mentioned in another post awhile back about closing our borders. You see whats happening right now on some of our beliefs when you let 2,3 or 4 others in. You are not even hearing much about the 1's coming in from S. America, ILLEGALLY I might add.

You see whose side I'm on now ?????????????????
