Kilgore, TX (7/29/14) by DarinShort.com. The next event on deck at LoneStar Speedway (LSS) is August 16th, starring Twin Factory Stock features. Full points and full purse awarded for each feature. After the August 16th event, there is only ONE remaining full-points event left in the $10,000+ LSS Points Championship point fund chase!
Last year, $13,000 in cash - plus prizes - were awarded to 30 loyal LoneStar Speedway drivers, spread out between the three LSS points divisions.
A similar point fund is expected for this year and will be awarded after the Turkey Nationals at LoneStar Speedway (held in November). Details on that event will be posted this fall.
The Sept. 25-27 Armadillo Nationals at LSS will award 25 points to all drivers that participate, and is the final LSS Championship point event for 2014. Details on the event will be coming very soon.
There have been LSS 9 points events thus for in 2014 (of 9 scheduled), and so far there have been a whopping 267 drivers receiving points in the three LSS points divisions, including: 66 Modifieds, 88 Limited Modifieds and 113 Factory Stocks.
We would like to take the time to thank all those drivers for supporting a track throughout the racing season. We are proud to be able to offer such a strong points fund - without drivers having to pay for a license or association fee.
We would also like to thank our FANtastic fan base for their continual support, which allows us to keep turning up the volume on race purses and point funds - in turn - has led to larger and more consistent car counts. The event will pay $1,000 to win and $100 to start for Modifieds, $500 to win for Limited Modifieds, Twin $300 to win Factory Stock features; plus the Beginner Factory Stocks will cap off the evening's racing program.
It is also the 4th annual $10 Carload Night, where race fans can get into the stands for just $10 per carload. This is our 'thank you' to the great LSS fans for their continual support. There are no other costs or fees associated with getting grandstand admission that evening.
And, it's the 3rd annual 'Back to School' night, where each child admission will receive a bag of free school supplies!
