Heats were ten laps in distance. The winner went to the Dash, with the top sixteen in passing points locking into the A. Ward elected to start at the tail and Bunton did not start after shucking a rear-end in hot laps. Bruns benefited by starting fourth instead of his drawing spot, which was eighth. Waugh led lap one over Madsen and Bruns. Bruns grabbed second from Madsen on lap two before Smith slowed and pulled to the infield, bringing a caution. Bruns passed Waugh for the lead on the restart. Waugh performed a 360 spin and kept it going, but lost three spots.

Jeffrey led the distance in a mostly single-file affair.

Blackhurst spun before a lap could be completed. Abreu shot around the front row to lead early. Lasoski grabbed third on lap four from Lee, and second on lap five from Courtey. Hull tagged Lee with a slidejob coming for the checkers. Lee stopped on the track short of the line.

Curry elected to start at the tail. Stewart got the jump on McCarl at the start. On lap four, Bacon jumped the turn three cushion, got into the wall and flipped hard. He was o.k. The flip collected Bell, who was done too.

Abreu led the 6-lapper early over Lasoski and Madsen. Bruns passed Stewart and Madsen for third on the third lap. Lasoski shot under Abreu to the lead on lap four.

Faucon led lap one in the 12-lapper, but Bell took over on lap two, lapping up to seventh place.

Lasoski led the non-stop 30-lapper early over Abreu and Madsen. Faucon launched into a wheelie on the backstretch, came down hard and slid into the pits. Jeffrey retired early with an ignition box issue. The lead pair hit heavy lapped traffic by lap ten, with Abreu sliding by Lasoski for the lead. Madsen was third, ahead of Bruns and McCarl, who had shot by Stewart and Moughan for fifth. On lap twelve, Bruns drove by Madsen for third. That’s how the top five would finish, with rubber developing the last half of the race.
